Do you still have a horribly short "use before" date on the coupons like you did with the original pinebook?

Cause i missed two coupons with the original pinebook because of this.

The short "use-by" date is to try to make the process not take even longer than it already does. Several people preorder but don't actually even plan to complete that order, holding up those spots in the queue away from people who actually want to order.

Okay so is the PBP every going to be sold in the store freely? Cause there is absolutely no way i will have the time to look through my 300+ a day spam inbox every day for 2 months. I'm not going to bother hoping i accidentally catch it at the right time cause when i dont, its just going to annoy me.

- add *@pine64.org to your whitelist

- tune your spamfilter

- don't look through all 300 spam emails every day, but  search for "pine" once a day

- use another email address which you don't publish in the internet
First off, I'm thrilled that there is a company producing a very affordable, and seemingly good quality, laptop for Linux variants.

Secondly, I'm happy to see the company who did the Pine 64s, which I have running 24/7, still around and making new products.

Third off, I understand that gotchas like the ordering concerns will happen but I've been really happy with the level of support. The forums have been great!

Out of curiosity, how would we know if we made it in the elusive, "First batch?" Is there a cut off order number you can share? My "Meet" your New 14" Pinebook Pro!" e-mail indicated. "Your order is planned to be shipped around the early of September 2019." Does that mean I hit the lottery and got in the first batch?

Thanks!

Yes, that's what it means. Congratulations.
Hi everybody!

I'v been looking for quite some time for a Linux laptop like the Pine64 Pro (full HD, enough RAM and a cool processor!) and at this price tag I'm more then eager to try one out!
I haven't registered before 1 July though, so my question is, does anyone know what kind of timeframe I could expect ordering the "standard" way?

Cheers

It won't be too long before pre-orders for people outside the community open. It will be in the upcoming community update on the news blog.
You can find me on IRC, Discord and Twitter

Hello!!

I'm a spanish (From Spain) not from sud-america ) Linux user.

I arrived today to this forum.

I don't know nothing about this project.

I hope to learn a lot
Okay thanks Luke!

The thing is though, it seems I can order one now, so either it won't work, or my order will just pile up with us other non-pre-orderers?

Maybe I'll just give it a shot and see :-)

Cheers

After that, regular pre-order sales start for normal versions.

To clarify, tomorrow, 26 hours from now a login link will be added to the top post. Enter there my forum details, and a qualification email will arrive in my inbox. From there I will need to wait 3 days to several weeks to recieve a preorder coupon to order ?

How do you choose when each individual gets their preorder coupon ? Might many forum users miss out on batch 1 and 2 ?

Thanks

Luke just confirmed on Telegram chat there are 1100 128GB PBP allocated for community members, once they are gone, they are gone

Are these 1100 units the only 128GB ones that will EVER be made? It may sound crazy but I have to ask...

They are the only ones that will ever come with 128GB pre-installed. The 128GB eMMC module will still be available for separate purchase if you want to upgrade the "normal" model yourself.

Thanks, hopefully it would be seemingly as easy as it was for Pinebook as listed on https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Pinebook_Main_Page.
