A post about a Pine-64 Wi-Fi ethernet router project board and enclosure? |

I really like the idea of what is possible with the Pine-64 project boards and the possibility of making new projects boards and parts. One item I would defiantly like to see would a project barebones Pine-64 Ethernet / Wi-fi router project board. This would require pine-64 base components, ethernet input and 4 ethernet output ports. Possibly two wi-fi modules or even three counting on needs to allow a user to individually channel wi-fi output. Now the biggest part behind such a project would be the software behind the router and is important for flexibility and advanced security settings to do things current market wi-fi routers can not do.
The big part behind this would be that it is a project board possibly using advanced router Linux software for router management and firewall security. As for if this would sell ok I would defiantly order one and have been wanting to build a wi-fi router with Linux software for a very long time. The end result would be a commercially available router that can out perform existing routers on the market and run advanced software on a commercially available platform.

Hi all,
My pinetab arrived about a month ago, and I will kind of admit, I am the stereotype that jumps into linux-based OSes while knowing nothing about them. I've searched all over google and couldn't find ANY results about the problem I am experiencing: My keyboard's keys aligned on 8 and 9's vertical axis all type two letters incorrectly. So for example, if I wanted to type "8 9 i o k l , ." it outputs as "98 98 oi oi lk lk ., .," Anyone have any clue what could be causing this?

hi,
1. just ordered a sealed version as i saw people on youtube (likely the leader from wasp-os) could still use bluetooth to flash OS, flash software to pinetime.
2. this post from lwn also claims that unless doing very low level development, otherwise it's not necessary:
PINE64 does sell a developer kit, which has the same hardware as the PineTime but is not sealed, allowing access to pins for resetting and reflashing the watch. Developers who want to work on the bootloader will probably want a developer kit, but, because of the watchdog, it should not be necessary for other development. The developer kit is currently out of stock, but it appears that this is temporary. It is also possible to break the seal and open the watch, but there is a risk of damaging the hardware.
3. i knew sometimes if the watch freezes, having the kit could instantly reboot it and it is more reasonable than wait till it drain, but the kit is semi...either you drill a hole, solder some wires and cover up the watch,
OR it would be one that easily tear away. so, in addition to money (which i could afford next month), there still a lot of DIY to do.
So, i just write some simple programs, esp with help of gpt4 for application. if it freezed once/twice per month, i am ok to wait till it drain.
then can i avoid the dev kit? avoid the soldering and drilling as i dont have these DIY tools myself.
thanks

So my pinetab2 doesn't seem to have a working screen in some capacity. I've gone through the https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PineTab2#In...structions I used disks to make a sd card that had the factory default danctnix on it and when I plugged it into uart and press power a little under 2 seconds I get using minicom
DDR Version 1.13 2022018

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what this means. Initial googling of the above text doesn't seem to help. I'm not sure if I need to add a boot flag to any partitions. I may try something other than dancnix on the sd card and see if that gives the same or different results. I'm also using xubuntu and raspbian to run the minicom.

So after the recent upgrades I notice that the screen goes black and there's the blue led blinking as where there is a notification, the notification is that the system will suspend soon, and it keeps bringing the lockscreen every few minutes without going into suspend....and it's eating my battery fast. Anyone else noticed that?

External Reset button on PineTab V? |

Hi,
is there a way to reset the PineTab V without having to power it down? That would be quite convenient for OS development – I'm currently porting the xv6 OS to the JH7110 (also for the VisionFive 2 and the Star64, which are easier to reset...).
