In these initial batches going for sale on the 25th, all units will have ISO keyboards. The ANSI keyboard model will be available later. There's still a fee issues to work out with it.
Does remmina run well? I'm planning to order a PBP for web browsing, light coding and ssh/rdp/vnc sessions.

I use tigervnc on my 14" Pinebook to remote into my home computer, and it works surprisingly well.

Of course, but getting the acceleration working (properly) with each DE is something you have to be ready to do on your own. I've got reasons to believe that Plasma shouldn't be too much of a challenge. [...]

I'm getting old. In my youth things where simple: Isn't that up to xorg probing the hardware and loading the right driver modules?

What do we get on the preinstalled Debian, anyway: xorg or wayland?

xorg - rk custom + tweeks to support glamor acceleration on the gpu. You can switch to armsoc driver too.

Can't this be merged to the mainline version of xorg?

I'm planning on purchasing a PBP.  I would like to use it as a daily work machine for email and web browsing, but I'm curious if it may be usable for my side gig.  I am a recording engineer.  I would need it to run jack+ardour to record up to 16 track simultaneously @ 44.1k. Does anyone see any reason this won't work? The storage world be a concern. I would probably place sessions and tracks on USB drives.

Audio recording in and of itself isn't a cpu-heavy task, so while the PBP doesn't have a ton of horsepower it will probably handle that alright.  Make sure your storage device can handle the throughput though.

Doing editing, however, is not something I would recommend.
I wonder where can i get the coupon
I'm a desperate "just after july 1" member.
It would be bodacious if I could order the Pinebook Pro now; for the manufacturer's longer term planning and for my state of mind.
Or do I not exist without a coupon?
