Found a few minutes earlier today to post a video of the Pinebook Pro

Hi, thanks for the video, it is good to see some of the tasks the unit can perform. Perhaps also run GIMP, Inkscape and the like. Libre Office would be a good demo too. You may want to export your audio into Audacity or Ardor, amplify and normalize and maybe run it through some compression so we can hear you clearly. Don't be afraid to narrate a little.

Hi. All I can muster is a phone pointed at the laptop - I wish I had more time to do this, but I don't. Read the youtube description please.
As for showcasing various application - I think most users can infer that if the device can run 4K video and Quake 3, it will likely handle LibreOffice just fine. It would just make for an infinitely less exciting demo.
Thanks for the video Luke! I like the idea of a Pinebook Pro Quake tournament, how easy is it to install?

Not super difficult. I could script it and provide the .deb

What I'd really like to see is someone compile openarena armhf and toss it up on git as a .deb since its broken in the repos. I could set up a server on a board and we could run a little tournament when people get their PB Pros.
Will we able to install other DE on this build (like Gnome Shell, KDE ...) or will that give problems with the hardware acceleration?

Of course, but getting the acceleration working (properly) with each DE is something you have to be ready to do on your own. I've got reasons to believe that Plasma shouldn't be too much of a challenge. as for GNOME 3 - its uncharted territories - something for you to try and report back on.

Do so only when the laptop is closed (lid and keyboard completely aligned) and powered down. The optional adapter will live under the left palm rest - there are dedicated stand-offs for the adapter - and it plugs right into the main PCB. Its a very small adapter with a long cable -- its not the same adapter as currently shown in the store.
And yes, indeed, heat and power-draw are valid concerns... and something to consider. I can imagine that the heat from some NVMe drives can cause discomfort to some.

So regarding the M.2 SSD, I ordered a Samsung 970 Plus SSD 500GB NVMe, but it’s current draw on average is around 3.43W.  I read (today) that the maximum draw is 2.5W on the Pinebook Pro.

So maybe I should have ordered instead the Seagate Barracuda 510 one as it has a lower average current draw of 2.52W.

That info was posted by FantasyCookie17 in the PINE64 > General > News > Chit Chat about Tick Tock(July News Update)

Has anyone with the prototype Pinebook Pro models tried an M.2 and if so, which M.2’s did you have good results with?

Thanks.
Ooo, just found out that OpenRCT2 compiles on Debian Buster and does not require any x86 libraries anymore, only the assets from the Original games!! It just compiled successfully on a Raspberry Pi3 and runs!! A bit slow with busy senarios, but it runs!

Will we be able to run Android apps on the ChromeOS build?
