If you have an existing module then it will work. There will be an AC module available in the future.

In fact there are a plethora of RK3399 offerings from Chromebooks, Dev boards to TV boxs.

The one thing on the RockPro64 is that standard PCI-E x4 slot and that is really interesting as mentioned in https://www.cnx-software.com/2018/01/29/...60-and-up/
Also the NPU for AI purpose even if I have to admit I dont have the foggiest.

The RK3399 has always been the platform to land on as I have been edging my bets that it will garner wider adoption.
The Google OP1 colab with Rockchip to create the RK3399 was an immense kickstart and if it gets the economies of sale we might see costs come down drastically.

Looking forward to what Pine64 will do and how Android, Linux & Chromium could become an option backed by economies & development of scale.

Extremely interested in the RockPro64 not so much in the Pine H64 but price and when still needs to be announced.
Also like how its modular and offsetting cost onto daughter boards is a really good idea.

I am really excited about the release of the H64! I ordered one, but when they're in production I expect to be ordering them in batches of 10-20/mo. for incorporation into products I sell. So, I hope production is reached soon. What's important to me is small size, small cost, and compatibility with 3G & LTE PCI-E cards. Video capabilities are not important at all. 1GB of RAM is sufficient, even 512MB might do if that cuts to cost a lot. GPIO/I2C is important. PoE might be nice, but not really a high priority. I am not expecting you to change the board for my needs, just giving you my perspective. Please keep us up-to-date on the schedule of when more development boards are available, and when production models might be shipping. Thanks!

First H6 boards have just reached developers so it might be a while before there is nice software support, there is USB on the mPCIE connector which is one of the requirements for cellular cards, but I don't think anyone has tried that yet. Since the H64 board currently does not provide a SIM card socket on the board you will need either cellular modems with integrated SIM card socket or an adapter to go in between...

There are some quite cheap x4 / x8 Sata PCI-e x4 cards...

Any chance you might be looking @ Chromium OS as well or even instead of Android, Ayfan?
