That power brick I still use for my (very old) laptop occasionally, but I think I've found an elegant solution! After an afternoon of searching I managed to find some adapter tips, so it'll go 5517 to 5521, then 5521 to 5525 barrel. Couldn't find a 5517 straight to 5525 unfortunately. Hoping it shouldn't be a problem! I do try and exercise caution when it comes to all things electricity
