Manjaro update, no boot, just noise.

I recently updated Manjaro Plasma and now I have an unbootable phone that just vibrates loudly.

Don't know if it's a lost cause or not. Any ideas?

Either a bug or the vibration motor is shorted, both quite possible. My guess is that the installation is corrupted and it is getting stuck at boot at a step with the vibration.

Please simply boot another OS via microSD card. Rough steps:

1. Prepare a microSD card as explained on the wiki
   
2. Insert the microSD card into the phone (top slot, card inserted all the way)
   
3. Hold the "RE" button
   
4. Power on the phone while still holding "RE" (30-60 seconds), it will boot into the microSD card if it is flashed and inserted correctly
   
5. Overwrite the eMMC installation

I would recommend you to flash https://github.com/manjaro-pinephone/pla...e/releases (select the image for the Pro, not the regular PinePhone).

I must be getting senile in my old age. The wiki does cover the situation (troubleshooting) but not sure why I didn't check. Also on been on the pinephone matrix channel for some time. Oops.

Anyway, other than some dumb typing mistakes causing delays and issues, Manjaro Plasma is back on the emmc. Also installed tow-boot and have Manjaro Phosh on card. With both working well, so far, I'll put it back on the keyboard and get back to business.
