Hi guys. Had a very unpleasent experience with pipephone delivery. Was waiting for two months for phone after it was produced and its never been sent. And irder was canceled only after few weeks after i wrote to sales team. Thats the background. Is there any chance to deliver to Russia as finaly last batch never went to our country. Also if there is a problem sending with batery maybe its better to send without battery as its standard size and could be bought at any phone service point.

| Reformatting postmarket os with ubuntu touch |

Hi there,
Got my new pinephone and I am very new to the concept, I have a good understanding of linux but I am still new to it. I set up the pinephone out of the box with post market OS and chose the full disk encryption option. I then flashed a micro SD card with ubuntu touch and attempted to install it on the device but immediately it comes up with an error and saying it can't access the disk as it is denied. It then boots right into ubuntu touch and i can use it just fine but when i remove the sd card it goes back to the post market OS.
I basically want to reformat the device and have only ubuntu touch on there so how would i go about this? Also on post market OS the root password does not work and neither does the pin number i put in. Not sure if this is a glitch or if I input it incorrectly.
Also I have been doing some reading on here and seeing people have been running their phone OS straight from the SD card? Is that a better option? Is it possible to do full disk encryption on the Ubuntu touch install disk? And if I was to install ubuntu touch on the device and then had a seperate sd card, could I encrypt the sd card using LUKS via desktop and then still access it via ubuntu touch once it is in the phone?
Sorry for all the questions, I am just excited about my very first linux smart phone and i want to do it right and have it fully encrypted and secure.
I remember contacting the Pure OS team and they said with pure OS it won't yet offer full disk encryption, but the home folder is encrypted and you need that password to start up the device in the future and USB is disabled until the password is input as to protect from brute force attacks and also the removal of the Keys from the device for brute force attacks.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me with this. Just tell me what to do and I will try it!

Will the 3GB/32GB 1.2a board be available as a separate order? If yes, any timetable? |

Will the 3GB/32GB 1.2a board be available as a separate order? I got an ubports edition, so 1.2 with the broken USB, and I am both very interested in getting a fully fixed board that supports HDMI, as well as the upgrade to more eMMC since I find it really hard to make any use of flatpak without running out of space immediately. But I don't really want to order an entirely second phone, even though I understand a new board with shipping might possibly be already in the 100-130$ range, because it just seems too wasteful in terms of physical stuff that I don't really need to have lying around here. And while ordering the board alone wouldn't save me that much money, it would likely still be a significant amount.
So any plans on offering those boards separately?

I have hooked up my PinePhone 3GB PMOS CE and do not get output. I'm trying to figure out if it is the dock that is the issue or is it PMOS? Ultimately just trying to see if anyone else has been seeing the same and if anyone may have any ideas or workaround/solutions. So far has been an excellent device and a lot of fun!

| Pine phone Battery life vs operating system |

Not sure how this could possibly be "Charted" so just going to post what I notice.
I happen to have 2 PMOS Convergent (3g ram) Pine phones.
One is running the factory install of PMOS
The other is running nightly build of Mobian OS (Sept. 05 build)
Both at full charge, I did a few test calls and texts, short web connect
>> then left idle with bluetooth and wifi turned off.
Checked after approximately : 12 hours
The PMOS phone was dead at 0% charge
The Mobian phone was at 30% charge
Maybe we can start to get a rough idea of what to expect for battery life.
Please do chime-in, but for sake of continuity, perhaps keep it in say 2 hour increments :
2 hours - 4 hours - 6 hours - 8 hours 10 hours - 12 hours etc...
Thanks !

| Changing locale on Pinebook Pro |

When running the installation process on the new Pinebook Pro, I inadvertently selected the wrong locale, so the desktop is now in Catalan (I think).
What is the simplest process to correct the locale (to English, Canadian or US)?
If I had an installation medium, I'd just re-run the install and pick the right value this time. (Is there some way to do that with the machine as delivered?)
(There's nothing on the system that can't be wiped out and reset.)
If it's possible to change a value in a configuration file (or files), what are the files and values? (I think I can stumble through nano). Please assume a
combination of Unix background and momentary fumbling.
For a simple difficulty, I'd probably try asking the distribution site, but this problem's at the intersection of software and hardware.
(I'm anxious to get the machine usable; what I've seen so far is very attractive.)

I got my phone about a week ago and didn't have time to play with it. Yesterday I installed UBports and was blown away with how far along this project has come. The only issue I had was not knowing that sim and micro sd slots are stacked (kept inserting the sim in sd slot). The phone detected my carrier correctly and connected to 3g data and voice. I was able to make a phone call and send SMS messages without much trouble. Thumbs up for this device, I don't remember the last time I was excited about my phone.
