Buildroot 2021.08 not booting from SD card |

Good evening,
Has anyone been able to get the recent versions of Buildroot working with the rock64_defconfig?
As of this writing, it pulls in the following:
All I can get on the UART console is the following:
Code: U-Boot SPL 2021.07 (Nov 06 2021 - 16:11:06 -0500)
Trying to boot from MMC1
mmc_load_image_raw_sector: mmc block read error
Trying to boot from MMC2
mmc_load_image_raw_sector: mmc block read error
SPL: failed to boot from all boot devices
### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ###
I've tried with more recent 5.13.x kernels as well, but no matter what, I'm not able to get past this point. There is no eMMC connected, only the SD card. Armbian seems to boot from the SD card just fine.
Any help would be appreciated!

unable to install any software |

With my pinephone I am unable to install any software from the built-in software manager, I have tried using Manjaro and Arch ARM / Phosh. When I first got my phone this worked, now it doesn't, and I have the same problem no matter which OS I try. When I try to add an application, the download never starts even though I have WIFI and mobile connectivity.

[swmo] Phone stays awake after missed call |

Hi,
I'm trying SWMO for the weekend and sofar it has been a very pleasant experience, with swmo and pmos that I hadn't use as much before ... I might stick with this configuration ...
I have a little issue though, when I miss a call, the phone awakes from deep-sleep and notifies me but then it stays awake (which is bad because it draws energy).
The issue does not appear when receiving text messages (the phone wakes and is put to sleep)
Does anyone issues the same behaviour in swmo ? Is it the same in sxmo ?
I'll try to dig in the scripts to find how I can make it behave as I want, but if someone has some idea on the subject I'll be

Setting up Mullvad to run on Mobian |

I have tried setting up Mullvad to run through OpenVPN (exactly how the site tells you to set up the VPN through OpenVPN in a terminal on Debian), and while nothing obviously goes wrong and my openvpn files seem to be in the right place, when I try to run sudo service openvpn start, nothing happens. Similarly nothing happens with the other command on Mullvad's website. I can't seem to import any sort of .ovpn or .conf file to the built in networking manager (it throws an unknown error), and any info I can find online about this is irrelevant, dead or unhelpful. Any help would be appreciated.

SIM not recognized |

Hi,
I'm trying to get a PinePhone to work in the Netherlands (I tried KPN as well as Vodafone network), but none of the SIM cards I tried are detected by the phone.
The GUI says "No SIM" and `mmcli -m 0` says:
Code: Status | state: failed
| failed reason: sim-missing
| power state: on
| signal quality: 0% (cached)
I tried 3 SIM-cards so far with slightly different looks, but no success so far.
I tried Manjaro as well as postmarket phosh, but I don't think that should make any difference.
Is there something I'm missing?

Tutanota on Pinephone |

I was wondering if there are any Tutanota users who have a Pinephone and if so what you do to access your email on your Pinephone ? I believe their AppImage file is x86 only (at least that is why I believe it won't run on the Pinephone) and there is no app in the repos so I am left with accessing it through a web browser which is a little less convenient.

LTE data does not work on T-Mobile US with latest postmarketOS 21.06 SP3 |

I have a Pinephone Beta Edition (3 GB) running the latest postmarketOS 21.06 SP3 (kernel 5.13.12) Plasma and all updates installed (Discover does not show any updates when connected to WiFi and while Falkon works) and I have never been able to get LTE data working. I am on T-Mobile US network, have good reception, can see all the modem (IMEI) and SIM (IMSI, Subscriber Number etc) information and have received text messages and calls but mobile internet refuses to work (it is not just the browser either as apk is not able to connect either with WiFi disabled). I have verified the APN settings as well and they match what is listed on T-Mobile's website. I have tried turning Mobile Data on and off in the Plasma Control Center, rebooting, various combinations of those and changing the Authentication Method in APN settings. I am perplexed (as it seems that for those who cellular related issues it often is messaging and calls and VoLTE that do not work properly while LTE data does) and also a bit frustrated by this (one of the main reasons I decided to get a Pinephone right now is that it would be better for tethering than my iPhone, especially with the USB C dock that comes with the 3 GB version). Right now there is no check mark in the 'Active:" box below "Internet" on the Cellular Networks -> Access Point page of the Plasma System Settings app but even when there was, internet would not work, even though the AP type is listed specifically as "internet".
