i'm arch user for 30 years and I am happy to finally have a phone running linux and even archlinuxphosh. I congratulate the entire team of developers working on this project. I have a usb-c dock and I just got the right keyboard.
Before I connected the keyboard, I had an ethernet port that gave me internet access. But after the keyboard connection, the eth0 wired network disappeared.
Is the eth0 network incompatible with the keyboard?
thank you for the information you can give me

PineTime BLE connection |

Hi All,
I am struggling to connect to PineTime with NRFConnect / Gadgetbridge on both iphone and android phone -- none of the phones can detect the watch.
I have just received it and charged. There is no bluetooth icon on the watch face.
I cannot find any documentation saying how to turn on bluetooth on the watch (or is it permanently tuned on?)
All docs/tutorials say -- scan and connect but it does not seem discoverable and I could not find any troubleshooting guide.
The watch is running firmwave version 1.6.0 (f41aaad6).
Could you please advise how I can connect to at least set the time?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi All
When downloading updates and upgrades and things change for the worse;
How/where do I inform or list the problems, so the developers get feedback.??

M.2 SSD not visible when connected via PCI-e board |

Hi all,
I am having trouble using an M.2 2280 SSD with my Rockpro64. The SSD is attached via a PCI-e card, but the drive does not register with the computer. When I run `lsblk`, the 1TB drive does not appear.
I have double checked the SSD is functional by plugging it into another laptop (using an external SSD casing). I have also tried two different OS's on the Rockpro, and two different PCI-e cards.
My setup is as follows - new ROCKPRO64
- ROCKPro64 PCI-e X4 to M.2/NGFF NVMe SSD Interface Card
- also tried using another PCI-e card, with no success
- WD Blue 3D NAND SATA M.2 2280 SSD, 1TB
- 12V 5A power supply
- OS 1: manjaro-xfce-21.2.1-220103-linux515.iso
- OS 2: RoninOS (Manjaro fork designed for Rockpro64): https://wiki.ronindojo.io/en/gui-setup/step1
My only ideas are that: - I have missed out something in the hardware setup that would allow the PCI-e board to function properly
- The PCI-e port/reader on the Rockpro motherboard is faulty
Any advice or help is much appreciated.

How do I import SIM card contacts? |

How do I make the contacts stored on my SIM card visible to my PinePhone, or import them into whatever system it uses?
When I launch the "Phone" app, the "Contacts" tab simply says "No contacts have a phone number yet". And if I instead launch the "Phonebook" app, it just says "No contacts" and the only way of adding one is to manually fill in a form.
I searched the forum and found a few other threads on this topic but it seems what the questioners are really asking about is contacts stored as VCF files on an SD card, not contacts stored on a SIM card.

Unexpected pre-delivery phone call |

I've ordered a PinePhone Pro, to be delivered to the United Kingdom.
This morning, I got an unexpected call from someone claiming to work for DHL, explaining that VAT / duties were due.
They knew my name, the email address I had used with PINE64's store, and my phone number.
They followed up with an email, linking to the DHL.co.uk website (which I verified). The email headers looked fine.
The waybill number shows on the DHL parcel tracking site, delivering to approximately the right area.
For whatever reason, I could not see any content on the DHL payment website unless I enabled "performance" cookies. Poor config, since at least something was clearly necessary to display the page.
It all appears to add up, other than the fact I have not had a shipping notification about the phone, and I paid the £70ish charge seemingly required of me.
Just in case others have the same experience.

Any UK Pinephone users making telephone calls? |

Hi There.
Posted in Software and think this might now be a hardware issue.
I have used an EE and 3 sim in the pinephone and tested it on Manjaro Phosh, KDE, Ubuntu Touch and Mobian.
Always the same results. Calls go to my other mobile and it can call, and connect to my Pinephone. There is no audio heard or received at either end.
The microphone works - tested on speech recorded. The speaker works - tested on music/video playback....
Any thought? Would love to know if anyone has used these sim providers/setups and actually had a successful call. Then I know i can speak to Pine64 about a replacement..
Cheers
Grape
