i received my PinePhone pro a few day ago. I was very happy. Everything worked fine until impossible to switch on.
Impossible to connect from my laptop (not present with lsusb), no message on phone's screen (nothing). I try to boot on SD card, no way....

Could you please help me?

I wonder myself which fans are compatible to the fan header. Since it is a 2 pin PWM header normal (3 to 4 pin) fans should not work, right? Would it be possible to use a 2 wire 12V DC fan and just replace the connector?

Ahh! Great discovery. I installed Firefox with snap and not work. I uninstalled it and installed it with pacman and now ¡ It works! People should know. Maybe snap applications still do not go. Maybe somebody can check other snap applications

Actually it was never alive ..

recently I have ordered PinePhone Pro with the keyboard cover.
when I received them I immediately placed the phone into the keyboard cover.
when I turned the device on (default OS)  the keyboard was not recognized.
I tried to remove the phone then placed it again into keyboard cover but still the keyboard is not recognized.
1 - whatever I type on the keyboard it doesn't appear on the screen.
2- there is NO indicator that shows that there is additional battery (keyboard battery)
3- pushing the battery switch on the side of the keyboard doesn't change anything

is my keyboard faulty??
what should I do?

I received my PinePhone keyboard a couple of weeks back and my PinePhone Pro just arrived today. 

The phone seems to work ok but the keyboard doesn't work at all. 

I've tried rebooting, reseating, fiddling with the POGO connectors ... all to no avail. 

Of note, the phone doesn't even appear to charge with a USB cable connected to the keyboard, but does charge when a cable is connected directly to the phone itself. 

Could I possibly have a dud keyboard?

So I wanted to check out mobian on my PPP Explorer Edition, I just received.
I wiped the boot part on the internal eMMC(which I learned would not be necessary, but should work).

But now I can't get my SD image to work.

I tried the following images:

On the serial console I receive from the Manjaro:

Received my Explorer Edition yesterday. Booted it, played around. Everything seemed fine, Discover seemed broken (default KDE Manjaro). Shut it down, tried mounting it in the pinephone keyboard, never got the keyboard working, planned on trying the pogo shim this weekend. Shut it down, back into "phone mode" played around some more. Let it charge, then unplugged it and left it on my desk for the night.

This morning, wouldn't start. Plugged in, off to work. Still no boot. Removed battery, monkeyed around with various attempts at powering up. I don't get a vibration or anything on plugging it in as described charging indicator (pine64.org) . 

Next steps for troubleshooting?

I received my pinephone keyboard a few days ago and I've never been able to get it to charge. I have mobian installed, they keyboard works, but the battery doesn't charge. After enough time it completely kills the phone and I have to disconnect the phone in order to charge it. Any Ideas? They keyboard does not work with my brand new pinephone pro at all.. I tried pushing the back in like some users have said to do, this does not fix my issues.

I though i saw something that said we needed to install a firmware update on the keyboards because they didn't come with it, but I haven't been able to find it? Am I mistaken?

Does the PPP have a charding indicator that comes on when the phone is connected to a charger?

My PPP does not show any indication of being charged when connected to any charger I have tried.  I believe the battery is completely dead.

I have switched the audio out to UART and if I plug headphones into the jack and plug headphones in there is usually some activity followed by a regular pulse when connected to a charger.

1. Download the Arch Phosh PinePhone Pro Image (You can also use Manjaro or another distro if you prefer) on another computer and use your favorite tool (Gnome Disks, Etcher, etc.) to image it to an SD Card
2. Insert imaged SD card into your PPP Explorer Edition and hold down the power button until it boots to Arch Linux (or other distro if you did not use Arch)
3. Type lsblk in the terminal app on the phone to list the devices

4. Wipe the bootloader using the following command (Note: please replace "DEVICE" with the eMMC device name and double-check you got it correct and that you did not select your microSD card or a partition of the eMMC! Mine was called mmcblk2 and showed ~115gb in size but yours may be different so triple check!)

   sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/DEVICE bs=8k seek=1 count=4
   
   
5. Once you have run the command and it is complete. You can reboot and it should reboot to the distro on your SD card.
