I found a webpage where I discover-sorry for my low knowledge of manjaro- where they say Vivaldi is the replacement of Firefox in Manjaro. But Firefox works very well if you install with pacman mobile-config-firefox as I was told in the pine64 telegram

[2022-01-29T08:43:43-0600] [ALPM] installed libvoikko (4.3.1-2)
Chatty launches for about 1 minute then "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
I have a feeling that it is AccountsService the last release was 2 years ago.
Any recommendations?

Hello,
I was very happy yesterday to receive my Pinephone Pro Explorer Edition.
After playing around with the preinstalled Manjaro, I decided to flash the eMMC with mobian from the sdCard.
Everything was going well till an error message stopped the process (I unfortunately didn't screenshot the error page).
Since then, my device refuses to boot.
What should I try to get the device back to track?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Jerome Lioret

I'm using Manjaro Phosh linked from here: https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_P...anjaro_ARM
It was running fine, but this morning I ran an update and now cannot boot. I did receive an error with initcpios, and uboot was updated as well. I'll paste the update output below.
When I boot, I get a red light then it turns yellow(?). If I put my hand near it, I see red, yellow, and green light. Nothing displays on the screen, and I cannot seem to boot into either the system or SD card.

Selling my PinePhone Pro (PPP) with the Keyboard case.
it is almost brand new. I have just unboxed both PPP and the keyboard less than 24 hours ago.
well, it turned out that just I don't have the required skills for such device. handling PPP requires more than elementary ubuntu-suage.
to be honest, I couldn't update the system or download any apps, sometimes the system is unresponsive and the keyboard is not recognized.
I showed the terminal output to some guys from the community and I was told that the keyrings are not up to date.
I don't have the skills to flush new OS and I don't want to brick the device.
if you are interested just contact me on: t.n.82.sys@gmail.com
as I said both PPP and keyboard were unboxed less than 24 hours ago.
I even haven't removed the protection film from the screen.
All accessories are available of course together with the boxes for both PPP and keyboard (but I threw away the plastic bags inside the boxes)
I will provide free international shipping.

| PPP cannot connect to my Wi-Fi network |

I've searched Matrix and Telegram groups for anyone with same issues, but it seems I'm currently the only one so I assume it is probably related to my Wi-Fi SSID setup. But since I have also a ROCK Pi 4B running without issues at home, all other devices, too, I think this might be connected to the network manager of PPP (Manjaro Linux).
Issue:
I can neither connect to my Wi-Fi SSID "Bla's WiFi", nor to the BSSID.
I can connect to my Android's hotspot though.
By using the network manager cli (nmcli) I receive "Error: Connection activation failed: (53) The Wi-Fi network could not be found."
I tried the WPS with wpa_cli, but this also fails.
Maybe this question should go to Manjaro forums or to KDE Plasma team, I do not know. But since It's not working on the PPP, I just opened the thread here.
Specs:
OS: Manjaro-ARM
KDE Plasma v: 5.23.5
KDE Frameworks v: 5.90.0
QT v: 5.15.2
Kernel v: 5.16.2-2-MANJARO-ARM
System is up to date on stable.
Does anyone experienced same issues?

I installed PostmarketOS sxmo on my pinephone eMMC via jumpdrive.
(The installer image from https://images.postmarketos.org/bpo/v21....0119-0539/ )
Code: $ df -h /
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/root 1.7G 1.6G 0 100% /
which seemed wrong to me. I would expect a Size much closer to 32G.
I installed a small number of packages then tried to clone a git repo. The cloning failed due to not enough space.
I rebooted and get a blank green screen now after the pmOS logo after entering encryption password.
Based on the df output, did I screw up the install badly somehow?
I have no data to lose on the device and would be fine reinstalling, but do I have any sane way forward from the current state? sshd is not set to run on startup and the device does not have a static IP.
To be more clear, my steps:
- dd jumpdrive img to SD card
- boot pinephone with SD card
- connected to PC and dd'd the sxmo installer img to eMMC
- booted pinephone without SD card and installed
- pmOS was running well across multiple boots

| Private / self-hosted "Cloud" |

What options are there for self-hosting a private "Cloud"? for pinephone to call "home" to?
Airquotes around that overloaded term "Cloud" because this is what I mean:
- sync docs
- archive pics
- stream music & vids
- etc. feature parity with AlphabetInc apps,
- not email (for various reasons); so I'll get that from a trusted ISP that does POP/IMAP and I've already got a short list for that.
Thinking outloud, I'll need several things in addition to phone apps, like a VPN tunnel to securely "phone home", building out these hosted services (and I do have hardware already), etc.
Any options folks use or have heard of?

Greetings, Pine Team and the community.
I intended to buy a PinePhone Pro (PPP) and to deliver it to Russia (other city than Moscow). In the chat I was recommended to check Tiptrans [1] as a package forwarder. I got my PPP delivered to TipTrans' Hong Kong office but then they rejected delivery via Quatium transport because of restrictions on batteries. The only other transport they suggested is UPS which asks 260$ USD just for the phone without accessories which is comparable to the current PPP's price of 400$.
[1]: https://tiptrans.com
On this forum I read that DHL doesn't ship to a personal address in Russia but may ship to a Russian company (company-to-company). You could find some Russian partner (e.g. https://getchips.ru) and deliver PPP via DHL, but DHL is not cheap either. I don't have any estimations but I think the price is as high as UPS.
Here, in this forum, I ask you not to ignore Russian market. Please, come up with some ways of cheaper delivery of PPP from Hong Kong to Russia.
Thank you,
Ilya.
