That post was made in October and this one says it's a V.2 from November but I'm still unclear. I have no problem cutting it down, just don't want to if it's not needed.
Here's a pic of the board along with a usb adapter and 128gb chip. If I had to guess, I'd say the SD card adapter writes image faster but it doesn't take long either way.
Is this the new model or the old and if old, should I wait for whatever parts will be shipped.
Thanks

This looks like exactly the same thing I received today. v2 does seem to indicate it's a revision so I think this should be the new version with all the parts necessary. I had no problem getting it installed in my PBP. The 500GB Samsung EVO 960 I've got works a treat.
If you have a look here https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/Pinebo...nal_Layout you can see the NVME board in place with the ribbon cable attached but no NVME drive installed.
The catch is that you need to install the NVME drive first. This is because you need to slot the curve at the end of your NVME drive in to the groove cut in the side of the gold ring. You then secure the drive by feeding a screw from the back of the board in to the threads of the gold ring. Then you can put the board in as you see in the previous link and secure it with the three remaining screws.
