Its from ubuntu mate on the Pinebook. Regarding your question, I only have the 11" model and have not had the opportunity to use the 14" (yet), but some people say the 11" is better for extensive writing.While I cannot say which one is better for writing with certainty, what I can confirm for you is that for writing the 11" has been close to flawless for me.
