Downloaded the img once again and flashed it to an SD card, no screen output either. I have no idea whether it just doesn't boot or it's only the LCD output that's broken. This worked fine on the first image though

No new images have beenb released. Please wait for sometime until the Manjaro Team test the new images before making it public.?

So it's random then? Strange, I have had Manjaro running with the same image then...
I'll just wait, sorry if I sounded too eager

A kernel update has appeared. The sound began to work. Volume function keys also. WiFi also seemed to be more stable. Thanks to the guys from Manjaro

I upgrade my system and I don't have sound, functions keys or wifi... ;(

Did you touch something else?

I hope you solved this from the Manjaro Forum support.

Two things I am noticing:
1. chromium seems to ignore the panfrost driver:
libGL error: failed to create dri screen
libGL error: failed to load driver: rockchip
libGL error: failed to create dri screen
libGL error: failed to load driver: rockchip

2. My speakers make noice when the SD card is accessed. Brings back memories of rotating rust drives

The headphones doen't work either (3.5mm), USB headphones work fine

LCD is now working for me.  (KDE plasma ) WiFi (brcmf) is not only flakey , though.  it's pretty much bringing the system to a halt.  (constant failure messages in dmesg).  It seems like this problem has been fixed and then shown up  through a number of kernels on many platforms.  Keep up the great work...this is very exciting.  I'll test more with wifi  disconnected.

I upgrade my system and I don't have sound, functions keys or wifi... ;(

for sound, once you have upgrade (pacman -Syu) :

alsamixer

then go to the far right of the mixer and enable (hit 'M') the headphone DACs:

• Left Headphone Left Mixer DAC
  
• Right Headphone Right Mixer DAC
  

For me, that made the sound work simultaneously on speaker and headphones.
(though no detection of jack and muting speakers)

But the speaker are extremely noisy if there's no sound playing (it seems/sounds that their level is left floating when there's no output)

I solved my problems applying patch and upgrading system.

Nows runs very well, excepting known bugs.
