I don't own any Pine product, I use an old laptop with both hdd and wifi chip removed. I was looking into Pine products because they are more portable.

it depends on the level of security you are seeking. You can't guarantee things at the software level. If there's an open network nearby and the drivers get installed somehow, your key could leak. The idea is to assume that the software is malicious and will try to leak the key.
