Brand new Pinebook Pro doesn't boot after Manjaro update

And some of the earlier manjaros,most obnoxiously, overwrote extlinux.conf, with no warning,,,
rather than writing a .pacnew.. Sometimes this didn't work, and since there was no notification,
you had no idea why
