Something they don't really cover, or I haven't been able to find where it is, is what audio codecs will this work with? Aptx hd, LDAC, AAC or SBC? hoping for Aptx hd

It's likely using the same wifi/bluetooth module as the RockPro64 adapter:

It seems to use a Broadcom BCM4359 wifi/bluetooth module.
You may be able to see what codecs are supported in hardware, but I would not assume a Qualcomm proprietary audio codec is likely to be supported in an older broadcom chip.
The Pinebook Pro uses a Ampack AP6255 module, which internally is effectively a Broadcom BCM43455. So, you're actually pretty close except that the 43455 is 1x1 WiFi. But that does not change the Bluetooth capabilities in any way.
To the best I can tell, most of those Bluetooth audio codecs are dependent solely on the software (with maybe the exception of AptX), so it will probably depend on what distro you have installed on your PBP.
