Thanks for your help wdt! I see you found my other thread at the manjaro forum but for others who might have the same issue, here is how I solved it for now.

I managed to get my PBP operational on Manjaro again. I booted mrfixit debian from SD, then installed that one to eMMC. Then I could boot Manjaro from SD and then use the arm installer to install it on eMMC.

Thanks again for the amazing community help from Pine64 and Manjaro ARM!
