| Using grub-image ? |

Would it be safe to use the grub-image, with all the modules (as long as it doesn't exceed 16 MB) and flash it to the spi ? Which would eliminate the need for uboot entirely ?
Just checking my options before i get an ssd, for the nvme adaper (pbp)

if I load (on OSX, with Balena Etcher or Pine64 Installer) Manjaro-ARM-xfce-pbpro-20.02-emmc-installer-20.02.img.xz to my SDcard and boot my PBP, i will see the Manjaro logo plus spinning circles for ever ( 2 hours then stopped ). Images like Manjaro-ARM-xfce-pbpro-20.02.1.img.xz however will boot ok but I don't know how to flash that on the emmc.
What am I missing in the process of flashing to emmc?

However while running supertuxkart with PAN_MESA_DEBUG=gles3 supertuxkart nothing renders properly. But when I set KWin Compositor to OpenGL 3.1, KWin seems to work.
I am running Manjaro KDE.
While running supertux2:
$ PAN_MESA_DEBUG=gles3 supertux2
[WARNING] /build/supertux/src/SuperTux-v0.6.1-Source/src/video/video_system.cpp:52 Error creating GLVideoSystem-330core, using GLVideoSystem-20 fallback: GLVideoSystem: GlewError: Missing GL version

| Is it possible to avoid interacting with uBoot ? |

I recently placed my order for the PBP, before i realized that it may require interaction with uBoot, which can only be done using an external terminal connection with a horribly simplistic usb adapter...
So my question is, is there any way to edit the uBoot configuration outside of uBoot ? I.e. disk editing?
Also, would i need to rebuild and reinstall uboot every time the kernel is upgraded?
I don't suppose there are any tools to manipulate uboot from linux ?

I have one of the early PBPs. I just flashed Manjaro, and I noticed all the GUI effects seem REALLY slow. I'm new to Manjaro. Is there an easy way to see what the CPU settings are (Debian had CPU/power save settings on panel, Manjaro doesn't.)
Also, WiFi is much better. The install seems to freeze unless you hit "Esc", but someone already mentioned that on here somewhere.

Hello ,
i tested the newer Armbian Bionic Desktop 5.4 for Rock64 and it would not allow me to boot with a HDMI to VGA adapter.
reverting to the desktop legacy kernel 4.4.y image instead would allow me to boot with the same HDMI-to-VGA adpter.
do i need to include something into the
armbianEnv.txt on the newer Kernel?
Thanks!

Hello ,
i am used to use Seamonkey (formerly Netscape Navigator) as an alternative Browser to Firefox.
Was wondering if it would be possible to receive a ArmHf build for Armbian Bionic or if someone could help with building instructions.
the only seamonkey version i found is here
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/arm...1-0ubuntu1
it is a bit old and lacks quite some features for encrypted site i guess
it is a nice browser because it has email and rss included in the suite.
Thank you very much.

So, this is the first laptop I've had with the power button amid the main buttons, and it's driving me crazy because I accidentally hit it quite often.
So... what apps/daemons are people using to control/configure what the power button does? I know Mate in the default install comes with something that handles it, but when I uninstalled Mate, that functionality went away. Now when I accidentally hit the power button, the computer immediately powers off.
Is there a desktop-environment-independent system for this? Debian docs refer to ACPI for this, but it appears there isn't ACPI on ARM.

Hello,
Would anyone know how/where to get DSL (preferably VDSL2+) onboard modems? I'd like to replace an ageing modem/switch/router with something that I can control the image of.
