CPU power, expectations

Maybe someone can help me out. I understand that the PineTab is a low cost device and thus expectations have to be modest. I tried to get an idea of the possible real-life cpu power/"user experience" to expect from the PineTab and therefore I looked up benchmarks at cpubenchmark.net:
-Allwinner A64 (running linux?)
Passmark 2000 to 2800 and CPUMark 35000
-My iPhone 6s (running iOS)
Passmark 11000 and CPUMark 11000
-An awful ODYS 2 in1 tablet (running Win 8.1) with Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8300
Passmark? CPUMark 800
We are definitely comparing apples to oranges here. But for me it looks as if the cpu power may be from 1/4 as fast to three times as fast as my iPhone. Slower than the iPhone may be a problem even for a very modest desktop system. On the other hand, it should be better than the ODYS which is barely usable with Win 8.
I am aware of the problems comparing "user experience", but maybe someone with more technical knowledge may shed light on this.
Kind regards

Python Debugger on Manjaro

Trying to use the pinebook pro for writing python code. But there seems to be no package for the standard python debugger: pdb.
I installed `pydb` but that was only python 2.7.
Is the standard python debugger (pdb) not available for Manjaro linux?
I am running Manjaro XFCE.
Edit:
I didn't realize that `ipdb` actually provides what I need. So I will just use that.

Hi all,
i'm looking for a functional dock for my UBPORT edition?
Do you have some references?
I have 2 differents models at home and they don't work for HDMI & usb.
Or maybe i have missed something... something to install or activate in the OS (test with UBport, mobian & postmarket)
The goal is to integrate the phone in a open source tablet (https://www.diskiopi.com)
Thank you.

getting elementary OS

A few days ago, the founder of elementary posted a tweet showcasing elementary OS running on his pinebook pro.
I was interested so I commented asking where I could get the image.
I was pointed to a build script which is linked here if you want to build it yourself.
I went ahead and ran the build script and have the compiled image here.
you can flash the image with dd, if you don't know how here is a quick tutorial, just use the elementary OS image. you should also be able to use etcher. be careful with dd, make sure you are writing to the correct device and not just blindly copy/pasting.
The only issue I had was that image is that it creates a small partition. I got around this by manually extending the unmounted partition after dding it using the gparted gui.
Here is a tweet of me showcasing my new image booted from nvme. (you need a good uboot on SPI or emmc for this to work. mine is on SPI)
I hope this helps you if you like elementary OS as much as I do!

Manjaro multilib or 32 bit ARM binaries?

Is there a way to get multilib working on Manjaro?
I tried the mrfixit Debian build on an SD card and that runs 32 bit ARM binary compiled for Raspbian straight out of the box.
Would it possible to do the same wit Manjaro?
I would like to be able to compile and run Raspbian binaries on my Pinebook Pro using Manjaro.

I am currently learning about the pine tab.
Is it restricted to running only Ubuntu Touch?
Were I to purchase one, how would I know which linux distributions I could install on it? And, how would I learn how to install each one?
I'm very confused on these questions. I read a lot that the pint tab will run linux distributions, but I have not seen anyone describe how to do that.

long term plan for pine phone?

I am very new to this.
I understand that something called "community editions" have been made available. My understanding is that a community edition means the phone is still not stable or fully developed, it is intended for technically-interested users.
Does Pine64 intend to produce a stable pine phone intended for the ordinary public? And, do they plan to do that long term?
I can't take the time to play with something like a community edition, so I would like to wait for the stable or final version. But, I don't want to get that if it isn't going to be a long term project by Pine64 (or someone) who will be around to provide support, maintenance, and development.
