Hi, trying to create an account on Pine64's Zoho instance, as requested by the autoreply to the email I sent to support@pine64.org, however it is *broken* and unable to complete the sign up process as it falsely claims 'cookies are not enabled' when trying to set an initial password.

"Cookie is disabled in your browser. Please enable the cookie to continue."

I've tried with Chrome, Firefox, Safari on Desktop Linux and Windows as well as Ipad - it's just broken and there is now no way to file a support ticket as far as I know.

ps: My original support request is a query about when the Mobian edition Pinephone will be shipping as there is currently no information about this anywhere that I've seen.

I have Pinebook Pro with Kali 2020.1 for ARM. I logs in with kali/kali for a while and I decided that I should change my password to a more secure one. So, I used command "passwd"

kali@kali:~$ passwd
current password:
Enter new password:
Retype new password:
passwd: Your password has been successfully changed.

And I changed it => "Your password has been successfully changed." and when I log in to terminal for recheck it works fine. But when I restarted it, I couldn't log in. Password is too easy. I couldn't forget him. I've tried to find tips on Google but most tips counts the grub and Pinebook Pro doesn't have it.

manjaro arm with kde plasma, just received. 

Put in Consumer Cellular sim card.  Phone seems to work ok in limited test.

Another story with text messages.  In Phonebook if I try text message the chats program starts up and says that I need to activate a new account in preferences.  There is a preferences in the chats menu icon that says preferences but it does nothing.

If I go to Accounts in Settings, there is no option for consumer cellular and no active option to add one.  Looks like accounts available are :
ownCloud
Nextcloud
google

Is there another sms text app?  Or is my CC sim card only going to make phone calls.

Welcome back. My workload eased a little and I went back to my PineTab. What I noticed and what has not changed is the problem with the keyboard attached:
1- too small moles on the screen, the cursor controlled from the trackpad does not cover the entire screen,
2 - problem when entering special characters, they duplicate themselves
3 - I can't log into my google account.
Is there a way to get rid of these problems, if so what. Has the project been abandoned?
I am asking for help in solving the above problems, the device as such is ok, but soft is ded.
As of today, Mobian seems more ubiquitous, but has issues with apps.
What to do? how to live?



Maybe there is an error-free commercial version? Please help a newbie in the Linux world

Hello. As the title says I am selling my Pinebook Pro(US keyboard) as well as the emmc adapter and the 128 gb emmc. 

Here is the story: 

I bought the PBP on summer but it arrived in October 2020. By then I was in university and couldn’t really use it. I really like it and it is very nice to learn and experiment however I am very busy with my studies and can’t use it. I’d like to sell and better use the money in something else.  I paid 300 euros for the pinebook pro after shipping and import taxes which are crazy expensive and then I paid 110 for the 128 gb upgrade and the emmc adapter as well after shipping and import taxes. So in total it was about 410 euros. It came to be more expensive than I thought. It is brand new. I barely used it so I’m asking for 350 euros including the shipping. Let me know if interested.

What starts "software" at boot or connecting to wlan or APN (internet with modem).
I do not want it to start, is it possible to disable it?

Works supprising well!

Installed with Jumpdrive, removed Geary, Lolipop, Maps and Software. Updated daily with pacman.

Some details:
Make and recieve calls : works
Create and send SMS : works
Connect to wlan : works
Connect to APN with modem : works
Camera : works

Issues:
"Deep sleep"
After some time incoming calls stop being notified.
The call is still up and "ringing" in the background, but not notified in a audible or viewable fashion.

Battery:
The battery status is highly unpredictable.

Keyboard:
Even when selecting "norwegian" in settings on locales, format - no norwegian characters available.

View images:
No build in image viewer.

In all, it's working supprisingly well, at this point Arch is a good foundation for further development.

Hello everyone.

I have a Mellanox 10Gbit connect-x 3en CX311A (with optical fiber sfp+ ubi modules) and I thought to try it on the ROCKPRO64 board.

First off all, all official armbian images 5.x kernel stuck at starting kernel at boot. No errors or anything.

All 4.x kernel images boot fine and the card gets recognized but no drivers available.(lspci ok - no driver)

Now, long story short, I've tried to compile an armbian image - kernel 4.4.213 with mellanox driver enabled as module and I can see the card (lspci ok - driver ok) but it's impossible to get IP address.

Now after a lot of tests I've got the card to get IP address with this image
buster-minimal-rockpro64-0.10.12-1184-arm64.img.xz from ayufan
with this kernel 5.11.0-rc4-1147-ayufan-gbf2a8ef692d2
