  HDMI out?
Posted by: scanfff - 08-13-2021, 10:47 PM - Forum: Android on RockPro64 - No Replies

Hello,

I've tried several images (I'm booting from the SD card) but none give any output on the hdmi port.  I noticed the images say for 7" LCD is this why? If so how can I modify the image or code to output to the hdmi port?  Also if there's a link for the Android 9 source used on the PRO do anyone have a link.

Thanks,
Aaron

  Wired headset mic stopped working
Posted by: Zebulon Walton - 08-13-2021, 06:43 PM - Forum: PinePhone Accessories - Replies (4)

I've been using a wired headset with the Pinephone in noisy environments since the built-in earpiece volume is usually pretty low. Suddenly I'm finding that the microphone is not working. I can hear the call just fine, but the person on the other end cannot har me. Tried leaving voicemail to myself with the same result. Figuring maybe the microphone just went bad I bought another headset but it has the same problem. I tried toggling the mute button on the mic and the Pinephone screen reacts but the microphone still doesn't work on either headset.

This is in Mobian. I checked the settings and the input is set to the Headset Microphone with volume on full. The headsets have 4-conductor jacks. Should I try one with 3 conductors? Or did a software update knock out the audio path from the microphone to the modem?

A clear all button for notifications is coming!
Posted by: ragreenburg - 08-13-2021, 09:09 AM - Forum: Mobian on PinePhone - No Replies

Here is the link for it. Honestly, I am so excited about this because there's nothing worse than having a dozen notifications and having to swipe down the notification bar then click on a notification then rinse and repeat a dozen times. Though it has been officially merged into phosh they did just do a release a couple days ago so I don't know if we get any phosh updates until an official release. Anyone more knowledgeable on this wanna weigh in?

  Screen haearbeat and backligh
Posted by: DavideCalabria - 08-13-2021, 01:25 AM - Forum: PinePhone Hardware - No Replies

Hi there,

I just have a Pinephone since a few days but I can't see the screen well enought to use it. The screen is heartbeating and there is like a backlight that make it usuable.

Maybe it's a hardware problem? Here I have found this documentation on backlight

Hi.

I'm trying to configure aerc but on configuration page it crashes. Seems that Unix Server is not started. How can I solve it?

Regards,
Peter

  Co-processor?
Posted by: Jeremy97469 - 08-12-2021, 04:25 AM - Forum: PinePhone Hardware - Replies (1)

I am fairly new to the Pine ecosystem and hope this is a good place to ask my question. Dose the PinePhone have a secondary processor that handles the real-time processing needs of a phone? I am seeing that the PinePhone has trouble receiving calls sometimes; is this a possible solution?

pinephone circuit board design, conductive parts

pinephone circuit board design, conductive parts

is there somewhere circuit board design for pinephone? in this case conductive parts, not the components placings. (although components placings for 1.2x could be useful).

i was thinking about that power surge issue. is it possible that power connections to the modem chip are too thin. this might be an issue to look at.

Question cannot boot openSUSE - what am I doing wrong?
Posted by: Mentaluproar - 08-12-2021, 12:26 AM - Forum: Linux on RockPro64 - Replies (2)

I'm strugging to get opensuse to complete a boot on my RockPro64.  I can only get as far as "EFI stub: Exiting boot services and installing virtual address map..."  it stalls there.  What am I doing wrong?

Looking to sink my teeth in to development, but need a bit of direction.
Posted by: wilsonjholmes - 08-11-2021, 08:12 PM - Forum: Development Discussion on PineTime - Replies (5)

I was able to clone the project, change the color of the flashlight app and then build that and flash it to my PineTime sealed OTA. Looking to perhaps help look into the multi-swipe issue. I saw that the PineTime uses the CST816S, and I found where the driver for that is in the repo, but I am still trying to figure out what is happening in there... The medium article mentioned is no longer available.

I have limited experience with embedded devices, so any resources to point me in the right direction to understanding how swipes are registered with the CST816S are welcomed!
