I recently registered this forum account, but several things/features fail with the following message:
Quote:You do not have permission to access this page. This could be because of one of the following reasons:
Your account has either been suspended or you have been banned from accessing this resource.
You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action.
You have accessed this page directly rather than using appropriate forms or link.
You are currently logged in with the username: 'diederik'
1) As this is my first post, I'm assuming this isn't the case
2) I get this message when I do 'User CP' > Miscellaneous > View Profile; which afaict would allow me to view my own profile. I also get this error message when I try to view some/any one else's profile. And now I see I have a Private Message, but when I click on it, I see the error message.
So it looks like most actions that requires being logged in, which I am, fail. I have also tried logging out, closing browser, starting browser, logging in. Didn't matter
3) That sounded plausible as I never got an activation email. So I clicked on the 'Resend Activation Code' which told me there was no need for that ... ?
4) I've only used links from my browser (Firefox 94, but also tried it with qutebrowser), so I guess not?
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or can a forum admin/moderator check my account to see whether some 'bits fell over', causing my issues?
there seems to be (over) enthusiasm with pinephone pro. i probably have it but later time and not in hurry. and in some way i think pinephone pro is worse than ordinary pinephone in some aspects, although we will see that.
if we look what pp pro did not improve over pp. same lte module, same battery, same screen size. although screen is harder according to specs. and still costs money, therefore could be sub-optimal combination.
i wonder how many of you will buy pinephone pro and how quickly, and here is a poll options.
a: i will buy pp pro as soon as possible (before spring 2022)
b: i will buy pp pro later
c: i will buy ordinary pp instead of pp pro
d: i will not buy pp or pp pro (anytime soon)
e: uncertain at this time
edit:
i forgot to tell that for option c and d, you may or may not have pinephone already. it could be first, second, third or whatever count pinephone.
Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere (forum search feature kind of weak), but I'm using the PinePhone with default manjaro distro, just loaded the latest updates. My plan is AT&T prepaid, $30/month which includes 5GB of data. Phone and SMS seem to be working but when attempting to use data, for example with Angelfish browser, it keeps redirecting to ATT site saying my plan has no data. That site will actually allow me to log in, it shows I still have 5GB available.
I wonder if it's some simple configuration thing that is different on ATT prepaid? Or is ATT prepaid blocking this specific device from their data network, if so can I spoof some acceptable device?
I am looking for a way to get MMS working on my PinePhone. I cannot see anything MMS-related in chatty, and I am unable to either send or receive MMS. How do people get this working?
I purchased a PINEBOOK Pro USB-C Docking Deck a few weeks ago and noticed that when I connected it to my pinebook pro the ethernet port would only negotiate a 100Mb/s connection and not the full gigabit connection. I tried to force the connection to 1Gb/s, but it would not connect. Then I tried different ethernet cables, different ports on my switch, reinstalling the drivers directly from broadcom, and tried connecting the dock to different computers; none of which worked.
Is this a known issue with the dock? Did I get a faulty dock? What more can I do to investigate or remediate my issues?
My story begins with noticing: eg25manager[2815]: Rescheduling upload since modem isn't on line yet, in 30s in the log.
Was this caused by not having a SIM installed? No. Was running sxmo, is it distribution related? No.
Looked at other eg25manager log messages, then found these messages in eg25manager source code. Reduced problem by switching to archlinux-pinepone-barebone, disabling eg25manager, and manually executing the power-on/off sequence using the sysfs gpio interface.
A review of the Pinephone schematics and the EG25-G HW Datasheet suggested variations to try. Regardless of these attempts, seems the modem just never boots [as evidenced by gpio233/STATUS always remaining high [the inactive or not-running state].
Next assumption: the modem is bricked. Remove internal cover to gain access to T1500 and T1501 to enable USB_BOOT. Still with eg25manager disabled, bridge test points and boot phone. No sign of the expected usb device in lsusb after numerous attempts. A look at the EG25-G HW Datasheet timing diagram suggests a dependence on PWRKEY, so tried applying a power-on/off sequence while USB_BOOT was active. No diff.
So now, Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope. I've exhausted my a ideas and find no other's with a similar problem.
If you've made it this far, thanks much for your interest.
Hi I am interested in finding out if it is possible to build a crypto miner using Clusterboard and Sophine modules to play around with mining. Thinking about cpu mining as apposed to gpu mining so wondering if it possible to build the hardware and find software to do so. Note do not really expect to make much money doing so. ?
That’s re-work from Kwiboo’s earlier patches to enable higher resolution modes with RK3328 && RK3399 SBCs through HDMI.
What the patch-set effectively does - makes changes to use the big vop along with mpll_cfg table alterations to allow the devices to output up-to UHD resolutions.
On my particular setup, it enables:
Use of the full WQHD resolution on my main monitor with the RockPro64 - previously stuck at FHD only
Correct detection and use of the QHD monitor with RP64/ Rock64 (previously neither SBCs could even detect compatible mode - monitor doesn’t work)
Correct detection and use of 1440x900 monitor (previously, neither SBCs could detect compatible mode - monitor doesn’t work)
As a note:
- For UHD I don't have a monitor to try it out. I'm not sure if 60Hz has been enabled or not but 30Hz should work for sure
- On my WQHD monitor 60Hz seems to work fine with RP64
I have plasma-pinephone. I use consumer cellular sim card. It shows CCNetwork in upper left of screen. Voice calls work fine using Phone app. SMS texts work fine using Spacebar.
Phonebook app provides choices to Call or Send SMS after the selection of a contact. Neither function works.
The call function of phonebook asks for device to call contact with. It has a text box with dropdown arrow. Nothing opens up and selecting the box does not start keyboard to allow text entry. I wouldn't know what to put there anyway.
The SMS function of phonebook opens with message: "Device to send sms with". Again dropdown type text box is there that has no dropdown options. Selecting the box does not open keyboard to enter any information.
Other users I have been discussing my issues with seem to have this phonebook functionality working. My system is a fresh install of beta8 release that was installed 2 days ago.
On occasion I see message that "Modem (quecte!qmi_0) Shows no carrier " . BUT, voice calls (using phone app) and SMS texts (using spacebar) are working on Consumer Cellular network.
I resubmitted this thread from another to present it more concisely than where my issue was buried inside discussions.
