Pinephone convergence dock issue. - Joshua - 12-26-2021 I have the Pinephone beta edition with convergence. When I connect the Pine64 dock to the Pinephone, no matter what OS I am running, the Phosh shell reports the phone is undocked. I get HDMI output and USB connectivity but the OS detects the phone as undocked. This behavior started when I connected a Dell M-UVDEL1 optical USB mouse to the dock's USB port. Connecting the mouse and moving it causes HDMI to disconnect and once caused the dock to make a weird noise. Is there a fix or workaround for this, or is it possible that my dock is defective/damaged? Thank you for your help! EDIT: This behavior occurred because I did not power the dock via USB-C, after powering the dock using the USB-C cable that came with my Pinephone, it works as expected. This issue is solved. ![]() RE: Pinephone convergence dock issue. - Zebulon Walton - 12-26-2021 Mine does the same thing (Phosh on Mobian). As far as I can tell it seems to just be a cosmetic issue, but I don't use the HDMI port. USB works for mouse and keyboard, and the ethernet adapter work OK, but the Phosh indicator shows status as undocked. RE: Pinephone convergence dock issue. - nelstomlinson - 12-27-2021 Running mobian bookworm with the docking bar, plugged into a nexdock, and it shows that I am docked. I'm using the HDMI, a mouse connection and a keyboard connection. It's hooked up as if it's separate monitor and keyboard. |
