Can RockPRO64 support PCIe Endpoint? |

Hello,
I have been attempting to implement PCIe endpoint support on my RockPRO64 board over the past few weeks, but have not been successful and I am starting to doubt that the board can support PCIe EP mode. I'm fairly new to Linux and I am most likely overlooking/missing something as well, but before spending too much more time on this project, I wanted to ensure that it was even possible so I can pursue another route. Has anyone had success with this setup?
At the moment, I am using a custom Armbian build (Debian Sid, no Desktop, kernel v5.19.y) as I was having difficulty setting up Yocto and other off-the-shelf images did not seem to want to boot properly with my board.
I am essentially trying to replicate this tutorial on the RockPRO64 https://docs.nxp.com/bundle/GUID-3FFCCD7...055F0.html I am able to boot, create an endpoint function, but I am unable to bind the function to the controller as there isn't one!
If the board does truly support PCI Endpoint, I believe it is most likely due to improper configuration of the Device Tree on my end. My various attempts of patching did show some promise.
Apologies for the lack of information, I didn't want to write a lengthy post before determining what I am trying to do is even possible!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, and regards,
Andrew

USB-C Side board |

Hi there,
I hope everyone is doing well. While replacing my screen on my Pinephone pro, I inadvertently tore the ribbon cable to, what looks like the external speaker and possibly the vibration motor. I was wondering if the pinephone and Pinephone pro share the same USB-C side board?
Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.

unable to boot after manjaro update |

Hi!
I have a similar problem which was described in the topic "PBP booting but stops at flashing power led".
1. history
1.1. PBP worked fine after arrival, Manjaro booted.
1.2. Installed a nvm ssd (with x86 linux boot image from my other laptop, planned to format) I could read the files from it from the booted Manjaro
1.3. Shortly after I started up the ~3rd time I tried to update the OS with the official update tool
1.4. From this point the machine looked dead. I read forums and blogposts and I was able to install Tow-boot to SPI
1.5. Tow-boot works reliably but unable to boot anymore to any OS not from emmc nor SD
2. symptoms
2.1. tow-boot boots every time, reliably
2.2. when booting from emmc it's always start booting but rarely boot up
2.3. newest images (2022 summer) never worked since the update attempt
2.4. void linux console only image sometimes booting up and I can log in and machine looks good but wifi/bt never found
2.5. when switching to SD boot in tow-boot (or disabling/removing emmc) it starts booting exactly every second time
2.6. when it "starts booting" (regardless of success) there's a digital noise image flashing up (will attach it if I can figure out how, but similar than the lower part of the image attached to the PBP booting but stops at flashing power led topic)
2.7. I was able to boot up a Manjaro release from 2021 once (tried ~20 times one was successful)
3. recovery attempts
3.1 ordered second emmc (same size 64) -- no luck
3.2 ordered serial cable, not much help, when it starts booting and the garbage screen flashes, it is in "starting kernel" state
3.3 tried to remove ssd (read about potential power issues) -- no luck
3.4 ordered usb emmc and tried to flash images to that with rpi Images -- no luck that way either
3.5 tried to "hard reset" with the button inside, no effect
3.6 tried various images manjaro/ubuntu/void/etc on SD and on emmc
3.7 tested two SD cards, sandisk 16 (which I learned that not supported) and an other one
What should I try next?

Using multiple UART's on Rock64. |

We are currently using UART on pins 8,10 for serial console. Based on the pin diagram, there are 2 more UART's available. One set on pins 15,18 and another set on pins 33,35 which is currently used for SD card slot. We are using Ayufan's Linux kernel release-4.4.167.
We are using EMMC and SD card slot is unused. So we want to disable it and use the UART functionality instead.
How can we configure these pins to be used as UART's. Is it possible to do with dtb overlay ? Is there any User guide or manual which could guide us with this configuration ?
Also what is the max baud rate that can be achieved on these UART's ? The one used for console port is 1500000 bauds.

really want to use lvds flat screen displays on Pine64/Sopine |

I am porting a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 project over to run on Pine64 under Armbian due to the unavailability of Pi hardware. This app absolutely must be able to use lvds displays. It doesn't matter to me about mipi being "better", losing the ethernet port or any other of the valid reasons to not enable lvds. Many of the posts about lvds on the forum just say "don't do it". Is there anyone out there who has made lvds work on a recent release of Armbian?
I bought one of the Pine 7 inch mipi-dsi displays just to get an idea of how a flat screen would be enabled in Armbian. It works fine, but I can't glean much information from the configuration that gives me any hints about how to make changes to switch to lvds display output. They have a device tree overlay for the dsi screen, but it mostly deals with power/backlight/etc. There's nothing in the .dtob file about dsi pre-se. I also can't find anything about how the display resolution of communicated to the software. It looks to me like the things I want to change are baked in to the driver and not supplied by device tree information, which was my previous experience with using Raspberry Pi hardware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are using one of the serial interface - UART_2 on the GPIO header pins for console. We wanted to use one more UART to communicate to another device.
From the pin diagram, there are 2 more UART's available. One set TX-RX on pins 15,18 and another set of TX-RX on pins 33,35.
We are only using EMMC and not using the SD card slot. Is it possible to disable SD card and configure it to be used for the UART.
We are using the Linux kernel from Ayufan - release-4.4.167.
How can we configure to use them appropriately. Is it possible to make the changes using dtb overlay.
Also what's the maximum baudrate that can be achieved on these UART's ? Currently the one used on UART_2 (console) is 1500000. Is this the maximum speed supported ?

How to check which mobian build I am running |

Hello,
is there a way to check, which version of mobian I am exactly running?
I mean if I take the list of weekly builds as reference, is it possible to see, which weekly build I am running?
The information delivered by e.g.
and similar commands don't provide that information.
Thanks!
