"Yes" as answer for deleting brings same result.

Command "sudo pacman-keys --refresh-keys" can't complete fully and hangs after 10 seconds:

  Keyboard Remapping?
Posted by: jakfish - 02-21-2023, 11:53 AM - Forum: General Discussion on PinePhone - Replies (1)

Has anybody successfully remapped keys in the physical kb? I've tried xmodmap and xbindkeys, and while I'm not producing errors in console, I'm not producing the changes either.

My goals:

/? = Right Shift
AltG+3 = Slash
AltG+4 = ?

Any advice about how to pull this off?

EDIT: specs = PinePhone + Manjaro Phosh Beta 29

  Bogus default gateway keeps appearing
Posted by: Zebulon Walton - 02-21-2023, 09:03 AM - Forum: Mobian on PinePhone - Replies (7)

I've noticed for a while now that after booting up my Pinephone and connecting wifi that internet access wasn't working. It turns out that a default gateway of 192.168.225.1 on device "enxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is spontaneously appearing:

Code:
$ route -n
Kernel IP routing table
Destination    Gateway        Genmask        Flags Metric    Ref    Use Iface
0.0.0.0        192.168.225.1  0.0.0.0            UG    100    0       0 enxxxxxxxxxxxxx
0.0.0.0        192.168.10.1   0.0.0.0            UG    600    0       0 wlan0
192.168.10.0   0.0.0.0        255.255.255.0       U    600    0       0 wlan0
192.168.225.0  0.0.0.0        255.255.255.0       U    100    0       0 enxxxxxxxxxxxx

So to get internet access working I need to enter the command "route del default gw 192.168.225.1".

The phone is not connected to any other network device (no ethernet dongle, USB not connected to PC) and mobile networking is disabled - for that matter the modem is soft-disabled. Where is this phantom default gateway coming from?

To be notified when PineTab2 is available
Posted by: sabrinaweb71 - 02-21-2023, 07:51 AM - Forum: General Discussion on PineTab - Replies (5)

Dear all,
could anyone please advise about the best way to receive information about the PineTab 2?
I visit their page every now and then, but I never see any news.
I was hoping I could buy one after the Chinese new year, but it seems it's too early
Which is the best way to be informed? This forum, the discord chat, or the matrix group?
Thank you in advance if you can help me

  gnome-mobile dev

for a preview, this shell looks very ok. Nextcloud syncing (for Calendar and Contacts) is a breeze, where in KDE it never worked properly. Nextcloud desktop is not that easy, it does not seem to work. Gnome mobile crashes on install. But it looks like a well designed and actively evolving system. Diealer, Contacts, Calendar are more touch friendly as KDE's and also the to-do list connects to NextCloud. However I'd wish a screen resolution between 100% and 200%, first is too small and 2nd too big for me. Also the search field takes much space and does not go away when not needed.

  Pine phone USB keyboard connection
Posted by: CleanEnergyCleanEnvironment - 02-18-2023, 04:55 PM - Forum: PinePhone Hardware - Replies (1)

According to the pine64 instruction, pine phone should only be connected to its special keyboard, customers should not use generic USB keyboards to connect to the pinephone because it would cause the USB keyboard to charge the phone, that does not make sense, I have a DELL laptop that can only be charged by a USB power supply, I can connect to the USB keyboard or any USB peripherals to the same laptop USB socket whout charging the laptop battery

I would like to see pine phone is more flexible in regard to USB peripheral connections, I thought it should not be hard in hardware design to only allow the USB power supply unit to charge the battery and to filter out other peripherals for battery charge, are there any reason why the pine phone could not do it?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

- jupiter

File Manager that Can Access FTP Local Network?
Posted by: jakfish - 02-18-2023, 04:26 PM - Forum: PostmarketOS on PinePhone - Replies (1)

Running current PostmarketOS, I can't find a file manager that can get into my home ftp server. I've tried Thunar, PCManFM, Nemo, Dolphin, and Nautilus.

Any other suggestions?

We're about to turn PinePhone on Apache NuttX Real-Time Operating System into a Feature Phone... But to talk to PinePhone's LTE Modem, we need a NuttX Driver for Allwinner A64 USB Controller.

In this article we’ll dive into PinePhone’s USB Controller…

1. Why PinePhone needs USB for Voice Calls and SMS

2. What’s inside PinePhone’s Allwinner A64 USB Controller

3. Which is actually a Mentor Graphics Inventra USB Controller

4. We’ll study the FreeBSD Driver for the USB Controller

5. And how we might port the USB Driver to NuttX RTOS
