I got the Pine64 2GB version yesterday with the screen, it didn't boot into the screen with the provided image. So I hooked it up to a HDMI monitor and it booted, but the resolution of the apps is way off, somehow the apps don't scale at all, in the browser the address field takes up most space, Youtube vidoes seems to run in 240VGA and really slow, move like a slide show.
Any idea on how to fix the performance and the screen resolution problem? I tried it on a TV too and same, the resolution is awful and performance far from great.
I use a few Raspberry PIs and so far the experience with them is better and performance for video display extremely better.
