Pinebook Pro & PinePhone shipping progress (2020)

DHL just delivered my PinePhone! I know others may not get theirs as fast but DHL delivered to the middle of USA from China freaking quick for me. I got the tracking info (for my upgrade from regular shiiping to DHL) Monday morning saying it was recieved by DHL in China and just got it the middle of the day, Wednesday. I also did not have to pay any customs taxes and it seemed to fly through customs compared to other international orders I have made. Ready to connect the battery, charge it up and give it a go!
Thanks for all the updates and trasparency (imo) from the Pine64 team.

This delay has no excuse! (pinephone/asendia) You lied about the shipping date! Was suposed to be end of may and will be god knows when... And its not even cheap ! 15$ while on aliexpress its 2 to 4. why dont you just change shipping company ? ok there is the corona virus and stuff, but the borders in europe opened weeks ago. You should give a discount and apology for this 1 month+ delay! @Luke

my PinePhone just arrived today, I'm really happy and for sure in the future I'll order another one and the Tablet.
The phone for my point of view is very good, anyway this night I'll test it with some distro linux

What If I no longer have a Paypal account? Can I still do the DHL shipping upgrade? Also why doesn't Pine64 have a alternative to PayPal, Paypal is another tech giant that uses its influence to censor and step on people. There has been controversy with PayPal censoring artists and people that they don't like.

I ordered the UBports Edition of the Pinephone back in April, but so far we haven't heard anything yet from Asendia. I even emailed them and they have not emailed me back so that tells me they don't care. I am a US customer so I'm not sure if they will address the shipping there for months.

Can you answer my question about Paypal Im getting tired of being ignored. I can see why people are getting mad here.

Yup, mine arrived today, very much enjoying it, make sure you open up the back and connect the battery when you get it

Excellent! Glad it arrived. I'm still waiting.... But will do the battery thing when I get the chance :-)

Have you contacted the support / sales team about this?  Seems like this is more in their wheelhouse.

Lied? 'Corona virus and stuff'? We have been completely open about the situation and shipping challenges. We are also working tirelessly around the obstacles (even as I write this), including figuring out new alternative routes and options. I understand your frustration - delays are never fun for the manufacturer and customers - but let's keep things in perspective.

I have asked before and no one who is officially from Pine64 has answered any of my questions. The point of this forum thread is to communicate on the shipping of the Pinephones and Pinebooks. Its not only questions of PayPal that got ignored, I have several posted questions here. I don't want a community member to answer something they don't really know, I prefer my answer straight from the source.

I think you need to calm down. I waited for my PBP over a month, but that is to be expected.
