Broken power key or keyboard, can I still turn it on?

Since I spilled water on my keyboard, I have with the help of a 2nd pinebook narrowed down the issue of its nonfunction to the power button itself. I simply can't find an alternative way to turn it on. How do?

You shouldn't have to reverse engineer anything. There are schemattics (although it is also useful to take a look at the device tree to see how the power key is specially handled):

Based on the schematic and devicetree, I'm pretty certain the power key is a simple physical button and it bypasses the keyboard controller entirely. There's a signal running directly from the 30 pin connector to the PMIC PWRON pin, I think this is the power key.

Yeah, it appears stuck in the on position. So I just put the ribbon cable in, then removed it before it turned off again. It's a place to start.
