Pardon for my intrusion.

I would like this option too. Is it possible?
We are evaluating other shipping options. Its likely that there will be another shipping solution for the Pinebook Pro and other PINE64 devices in the near future.

Are you talking about other shipping methods only or also about possible resellers in the EU/US/...?
I read about an update of the RK3399, the RK3399Pro is now available and should support 6Gb of RAM. Might be interesting for next generations of Pine products, including this one, I think 6Gb of RAM would be useful for a lot of people.
brent.thierens, I agree. The RK3399Pro would be an excellent choice for a future Pinebook Pro upgrade.
New chips get released all the time, and it's pretty much impossible to ship hardware with the newest chip, especially if you don't have a large team to design and test the device. Still, 6 GiB of RAM is peanuts by modern standards, and I wish I knew why manufacturers limit their chips so badly.
By the time a Pinebook Pro upgrade, or Pinebook Pro 2, will be considered there will be much more powerful SOCs supporting more than 6GB of RAM. The RK3399Pro also has an AI neural network component that you pay for when you buy the SOC - and it is not really something that you want or need for a laptop use-case.
All those things said, this is an interesting proposition and obviously worth considering for the future.

I second that, shipping to my country is usually easy from China but pretty hard from european countries.

There are issues with shipping devices with lithium batteries - its not easy. That said, some consideration has been given to shipping options. If there is an update on this you'll know well in advance.

Please consider the following :

since the Pinebook Pro is rather target at a power user audience, I bet those people are able to open the case and put by themselves a battery in.

1- use a rather standard battery

2- send Pinebook Pro without battery
3- point a local reseller of such battery
4- or send the battery into another package
