Will it suffer from the original Pinebooks problem of needing to mash the keys hard to register a keypress?

My only complaints with the original was the keyboard and trackpad. with both being replaced, this should be awesome.

Listen to the practical reason for going with ISO

I wonder if I would be able to use the Pinebook pro usb-c with my imac 2018 usb-c as an external display?

I know nothing about the imac - does it do video in ?

Not sure to be honest... it might be video in with the display port only
If I recall correctly, for all new iMacs (after 2017?) to be used as monitors, the USB C had to be Thunderbolt 3 (or at best you could use Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 dongle).

I wouldn't bother with any dongles or trying to chain them, @cocozozo . Getting your iMac to be used as a monitor with non-Thunderbolt devices, will be an expensive and fruitless effort, unfortunately.
A decent secondary monitor would be a much better solution and will work (regardless if you will use for the iMac and/or the Pinebook Pro).

Damn..... seemed too good to be true. Thanks mate.
Deepin Linux support would be nice as well for this laptop

I recommend you go to the Deepin forums and IRC channels to drum up support. Otherwise there are other partners that provide support. You can find them on the pine64 website.
Do you have an estimate when it will be on sale?
Last time and last place where I am answering this; we estimate that the Pinebook Pro will be available for purchase from the website late Summer 2019.
