That's the Amlogic S922X SoC.
is there a pre order page for the pro, also a user that got my coupon to order and going to hold out on the pro.

There isn't a pre-order scheme for the Pinebook Pro ... yet. It will be announced in due time.

From https://baldnerd.com/pine64-pinebook-pro-rk3399-laptop/
“We’re also going to have a scheme where other developers will get their units a bit earlier, ahead of users so they can port their OS to the Pinebook Pro as well.”

Will there be a separate announcement for this? What critiera are used to qualify someone as developer?

A peek (not a review) at the Amlogic S922X SoC (4x Cortex-A73, 2x Cortex A-53, Mali-G52) in an Android TV box at ETA PRIME's YouTube channel. It comes out a bit faster than the RK3399, with nearly the same single core performance, but not by much.

Agreed... I'm very tempted. If nothing else, it'd be an awesome low cost holiday laptop, but I'm hoping it will be able to replace my daily driver. Have to see how good it is. The 4GB of RAM is a bit of a downer though. 8GB would be far more viable.
Lots of people with 1st post in this thread, so I'll do the same to make sure that I also get the most recent news about pinebook Pro.
Since I first read about it 3 weeks ago, there're so little information that I can get that making me grinding my teeth almost everyday, waiting for another good news.
Because of the shift of target, from thinker to daily user, I really hope that there's more spoiler to release, review, or anything, something to read on and fuels the excitement.
For those interested in the new devices - particularly the Pinebook Pro and PinePhone, I've posted a HW/SW update yesterday with some details regarding progress.

As a bonus, Bushan posted a picture of the dev unit running KDE Neon that I am attaching below:

Thanks for the update.
Everything about the Pinebook Pro so far is really promising!

It will be fun to try to get Godot running on such hardware. I guess it shouldn't be a problem to use GLES2 or GLES3 for performance purposes. Or maybe some simple Flutter coding?

Looking forward to the next updates!
