I'm considering it, Pinebook Pro sounds like a great piece of hardware, but I really, really hope that it will be possible to ship to Russian Federation.

With 11" Pinebook, I had to order it through US package forwarding service, because no direct shipping was possible, and final cost, including shipping and forwarding ended up at almost 200$, way more than was desirable for shipping costs. My colleague also wanted to get a Pinebook, but didn't want to spend 100$ on shipping costs and deal with mail forwarding services.

Has Atom got better recently? Had a few EEE PC's and ASUS Transformers with Atom and they were notoriously bad for performance and battery life. Found my ARM Pinebook to be much more efficient.

I have been wondering if it is possible for @pine64 to work with Rockwell on modifying and improving the Rockchip RK3399 Hexa-Core SOC? I thinking of something with higher IPC, 8GB of memory, beefed up iGPU, and at least one
M.2 SATA/PCIe x 2 NVMEe SSD.

I found this article about the new Pinebook Pro (link), and I was interested in it. Does anybody know more about this new device?
Like the estimated launch date, etc.? The article said that the Pinebook Pro would have 64Gb storage, 802.11ac Wifi, 4Gb ram and a Hexa-core CPU?
But what interested me the most was a Nvme slot. What are your thoughts about the Pinebook Pro?

Sounds great! Nice specs and good to read that e.g. KDE Neon is already involved, which is currently my favorite option for my current Pinebook!

Definitely a very interesting PinebookPro I would like! But hopefully indeed there will be some possibilities to go to larger RAM, like 8 or 16Gb. A proper batterylife and replaceble battery is certainly desired too, not to say a must.
Very curious since shopping for another laptop now that has many cores and RAM possibilities, but these are a bit too expensive. And yes, I'm a Windows user getting more and more fed up with MS. And because I worked in the past with Linux, this might be a proper reason to finally change OS, although a possibility to run Office programs is needed until Libre or other distries can handle VBA, macro's etc. properly. I've a lot of those and needing to rebuild everything is uhhh.... a challenge to say the least

I'm excited to buy one when they become available. I hope that they run an OS at least as nice as Raspbian, but think it should.

I have the original pine64 board and look forward to the Pinebook Pro. Great price point and value to allow me to tinker with Linux.

I'm wondering if there will be an 11" variant? Also are there any further requirements to get the 128GB EMMC upgrade other than just being a member of the forums?
