Preorder ROCKPRO64 Early June 2018 Shipment
#1
Who's ready to order a ROCKPRO64 for the next June shipment?
  • I've added an event to my calendar to check the news section for early June.
I don't have any control over ordering a ROCKPRO64, but I'm curious on everyone's interest level.

The first batch production ROCKPro64 board starts ship out on tomorrow. This is some people will get their board as early as late next week.

The second batch of production will starts on Monday after collecting all production data from first batch. The most time consuming is the ROCKPro64 8 layer PCB fabrication and we will negotiate with PCB factory for fasttrak. We will try our best to release the second batch on early June, however realistic schedule is mid June.

Thanks for the detailed update.

Are you able to reveal how many RockPro64's will be produced in the mid-June batch?

Sorry that in general we don't reveal production quantity.

PINE64 operates in organic growth path and don't accept investment, this allows us to participate with PINE64 community and not need to get influence by investor decision. Since not need to chase on money trace for investor and low operating cost, this allows PINE64 operate in slim profit margin and pass this benefit to community.

BY saying so, this means that we produces enough quantity base on limited cash flow we have in hand, but not large enough to flood the whole market.

Do You feel coming interconnection between sbc designers (globally) being an useful, normative approach? (Being more practical: For example direct system bus connectors or progressive dram optimization? Ecological improvements through shared sbc fabrication or reuse/return/repair systems, means Circular Economy?)
Thx

For us it will get a decision for August. Not now, although it is an appealing device.

Reserved my opinion to comment. I always prefer simple, effective, and direct approach.

Not sure if we understood the full meaning, but surely this kind of developing work is going to be a philosophy for more than one generation. Like "Three Lanes and Seven Alleys" still is known. Thx
