(ARCHIVED) Debian Jessie Images (3.10.102 BSP Kernel) New Release
Probably a noob-ish question but, I'm kind of an old-fart who hasn't tinkered with linux in a while.  With the recent Debian release built on .102 BSP 2, can I get there via apt-get or do I need to download the new image and re-install?
There are two custom scripts in /usr/local/sbin you can run to update u-boot and kernel:

/usr/local/sbin/pine64_update_uboot.sh
/usr/local/sbin/pine64_update_kernel.sh
Come have a chat in the Pine IRC channel >>
That was easy enough..... Thanks Smile

Wanna find out if this is just an isolated incident or something more.

Let me know

Yes, and I found the error: missing a blank line after $start and before 'w' - I've edited the script and everything runs OK!
there has been a version 2 release with the needed fixes.

You will also find a readme file on the desktop for those usign LXDE XFCE or MATE based images Wink

Where? I mean v.2 image, I've downloaded from Pine64 Wiki at wiki.pine64.org, under 2.2 - is it latest?
If you are looking for up to date Linux images www.pine64.pro from Lenny is the best option

@Boring, thanks a lot, I didn't know about this site! BTW, is there a change log? I already have a running and configured image from 01 July, what are the changes on this 18 July image? Can I just run the pine64_update_uboot and pine64_update_kernel scripts, or have to reimage the flash anew?
Shame you guys don't have wget URLs (or torrents FFS!) to grab images from...

Tried four times in Chrome (from a Ubuntu desktop) - only to get a certain way through the BSP-02 DebianXFCE download and it stops...

So - I started it again - copied the download URL the PHP presents to Chrome - and pasted that into wget on my NAS - let's hope I get the whole thing this time!

But a torrent would be ideal!  Just leave it downloading overnight - the more downloaders, the faster it gets...

Seriously guys - you could take a lesson or two from the wonderful folks at NTC and "CHIP World's first $9 computer" and "PocketCHIP".   www.nextthing.co - they've got a community, and they've got kernel and hardware hackers on the payroll!

And their BBS software kicks arse too!
Attempt #5 or #6 - 4 hours 45 mins ETA....
