Pine64 Boot help needed
#1
Hi Guys,
quick question surrounding the writing Remix OS to the SD card. I have successfully completed both using Win32 and phoenix card but my Pine 64 has yet to boot past the Pine64 opening screen. I just wondered how I could check the image has successfully been written to the SD card... I've ordered a power cable with the correct amps but just wanted to make sure I am actually writing the image correctly.
Thanks,

Check your power supply. usual cellphone chargers have 5V 1A. What works for me is 5V 2.4A (They said 5V 2A works, I had 5V 2.1A and it didn't go past RemixOs. )

Thanks, racann. I've just ordered my second power supply from Amazon but it's 5V 2A... I'll give that a try but might have to buy a higher powered one by the sounds of it. Don't know what else it could be.

Here is what the image looks like on a 16GB card as viewed in MiniTool Partition Wizard.  If you burnt it to a 16GB card, everything below is exactly the same except E:(Ext3) would have a total capacity of 27.22 GB ....the reat of the partitions are exactly the same regardless of chip size.  Also whether I used Win32 or PhoenixCard to burn, both images looked the same....hope that helps.

Hi,

I rely on a Raspberry Pi 2 power supply which is rated for 5V/2A and it works fine.  A high quality PS with similar specs should work.  A more powerful 2.4A should work equally as well.
