PineTab early-adopter offering question

Phew, I was worried I’d missed it to. I’m extremely keen to get my hands on this hardware. Ideally two! (I want a dev tablet for my personal software too haha) I’ve got a serious need for cheaper hardware (tablets) and if we can squeeze our software onto it, it’s got a very real chance of getting the company to buy these things by the dozen. They look like a a game changer.

We'll likely get an update once all the PinePhones are shipped. Keep an eye out for that shipping update and you'll hopefully receive a word on the PineTab status at the same time.

To expand on previous comment, link to the shipping tread is <https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=9942>, and most notably quote from one of recent updates to the first message:

We're under constraints that we have no control over (e.g. border being closed between HK and mainland China), the shipping companies and carriers are under many constraints (self-imposed or imposed by regulators) and the logistic chain as a whole - including people - is under regulatory constraints. In short, current situation is not business as usual. I am getting many PMs and emails asking about status reports - as soon as I know something, I post it here, there is no need to PM or email me. Thank you for your continued patience!

So it looks like if they start accepting orders sooner than later - it will add pinetabs to the end of shipping queue, but will not cause them to be shipped sooner. But will likely add more PMs and emails regarding shipping status :-)

Maybe, but I still want to preorder one and patiently wait for it being delivered in June, July or August

Thank you that explains a lot. 

I understand the HK/China/Corona issues that all play together. I just hoped I could at least preorder it then wait until it's being shipped. I've been waiting so long for this already.

Not going to lie, this is what I was hoping for too. I don't really care if it gets delayed, but I've found myself checking the store multiple days a day, every day, since the May update; so I'd really love to be able to buy it now, and then forget about it for a month or two, knowing that it's in the process of getting to me.

I completely understand, though, that it's something they'd rather deal with later while all these other issues are occurring. So I'll just keep checking the store!

It should be "fully functional" like the PinePhone.
