pinetab 2 not booting

Iv'e got my pine tab 2 to boot once again and the only thing it says is [ 0.000000] clk: failed to reparent gpll to clk_rtc32k_frac: -22 it repeats this line 1 more time and below both lines I get a flashing cursor does anybody out there know what it means? and what do I need to do to get it run again? please thisis driving me nuts pine64 insists that the community will help please!

I have this error message as well plus some more but the PineTab2 is booting fine into the original Archlinux. My guess is that your Linux is not starting and I think I remember that there were a few cases before and the advice was to reinstall the original factory image. You find some instructions in the Wiki how to do that with the UART adapter that was part of the delivery (in the package with the power cable) If you have more questions you can also join the chat, I recommend a matrix client (Element) because then you can search the chat.

(07-14-2023, 06:14 AM)Surehand53 It is gone again there is no way to install a new image as it is not seen on any of my computers at this point it doesn't even turn on it is going back monday it hasn't worked correctly since it was delivered I'm over it and will move on to something else that will work as it's supposed to it wasn't ready for release and still isn't no wifi or bluetooth or cameras as I said I'm over it! For those who might find this.
To me the problem was that device battery was drained when plugged to power all worked again. Chat GPT explained me that "the message "failed to reparent gpll" usually pertains to a warning related to the Graphics Phase-Locked Loop (GPLL) or another PLL on certain ARM chips during the boot process." Apparently this is just a warning but not the problem. Check out discord for debug if problem still there (https://discord.gg/wmeb8687) |
