My Patriot P300 turned up and worked (before I decided to reinstall my PBP)

Interesting. I've still had no luck with the taping. I may try things out with the case open but that isn't recommended/decidedly awkward.

I have a similar yet different issue in that my Toshiba XG5 256GB is detected in lspci, but not in lsblk.

According to https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php?title=...SSD_drives the XG6 should work, so I was hoping my XG5 would also.

Code:

EDIT: I'm also annoyed that the NVMe is more difficult to swap than it really needs to be. The screw holding the NVMe to the sub-board should be easily accessible instead of removing the entire sub-board to then remove the NVMe.

I also used the Wiki and taped my cable down; The power consumption was a lot so I eventually removed it.

Probably you don't, but do you have any kind of benchmark comparison?  I never installed mine because I figured it would use too much power.

It was really noticeable on battery, no benchmarks though. Once I hit 48% battery it was time to shut down. This was with a Samsung, on power/docked it worked fine.

I have 3 (well 2 are mine and the 3rd I guess I'm responsible for fixing when it Linuxes); and the older two, one mine, have terrible power management.  They never get to 100%, never have.  They don't actually charge with the display on, the discharge just slows down (a lot).  The third, (newest,) has never had these problems: it charges quickly even if the CPUs are overclocked, and will reasonably reach 100%.  I'll find out soon if this was battery related: I have to replace all three; they have expanded to the point of breaking the hinges!  But I suspect not because that one is the ’new’ main board design (at least was when it was new).

So anyway I wonder if that matters.  I suppose I could buy an NVMe "drive" to see.  Though I most likely cannot afford one at the moment.  Alas, I did just buy $90 of accordion parts I didn't really need.  Confused
