I figured it best to ask before I try it as I don't see any noticible notch to pop off like the PinePhone has. I tried searching DuckDuckGo for breakdown guides but found none. I don't plan on any upgrades yet but want to add an M.2 SSD down the road so it will be good to figure out.You can remove it by inserting a fingernail (or plastic pick) at the corners, but it's much stiffer than the pinephone cover, and seems to be providing a lot of structural support to the unit. Replacing it is also quite tricky, especially around the magnet and pogo pin area, I had some internal issues to fix so took mine apart - the second time I broke the digitizer, so you probably want to avoid that.
Thanks for that. I was able to get it off and back on. I agree it was a pain to put back on.
The PineTab back cover by design not intent to pop off.
