I am new here and my English not is so good.
I plan to buy one RockPro64 2gb, maybe 4gb to use with Linux.
I am wondering to know if the PCIe slot in this board can work with a dedicated graphics card like this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Club-3D-Radeon-...B00JGON2EM
The drivers for linux x86/amd64 can be ported for this this kind of use or it will be a very big challenge?
The main problem is booting the kernel with a non PCIe->SATA controller, most cards make the kernel to panic.
Another issue would be to know whether the drivers can initialize the card without the help of the VideoBIOS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_BIOS), which likely can. I connected many years ago a Geforce 8400GS PCI to an old Pentium II from Dell, and despite it did not show the boot process, I could start Xorg with "nouveau" driver. So I expect that "nouveau" and "radeon" can initialize the cards.
I wonder if Rockchip guys are interested in getting the rk3399's PCI express to work properly :S
