Unfortunately it looks like your options are more or less these:
Don't use encryption
or
Stop using Chatty as xmpp client and use Dino instead
or
Build latest Chatty from git and hope for the best (but expect that it will not work so you wont get too hyped Big Grin )

There are several issues open and it seems that encryption is not working reliable
