Hello, did you "power off" or "shutdown"? It sounds like you may have used "sleep" or "suspend" which don't work very well on the pinebook pro; they barely use less power than having the screen off. So the workaround would be to actually shutdown.

If you want to go down a small rabbit hole, there is a way to get suspend to work as expected, but it involves an old kernel.
