That gitlab is being shutdown in favor of https://salsa.debian.org/Mobian-team . However eg25-manager is now a debian thing instead of a mobian thing so bugs would need to be reported using the reportbug tool or via email anyway.
I use Ting (a T-mobile MVNO) on my test phone and found that sometime in the last several weeks T-Mobile apparently dropped IPv4 and it caused me problems that sound similar to yours. See https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=17552
Maybe your DNS is returning IPv4 addresses even though you have no valid route?
Edit 1: though maybe the fact that your wife's phone still works points a finger in a different direction.
