got it fixed , I used another micro sd card 8GB and it worked this time.I was using 1GB card before
I got into Remix OS finally.

Power is good. 5v 2a supply plugged into outlet and I also tried my anker 5v 2a battery charger.

Resolution on the remix is a bit fuzzy though . My monitor max is 1920 x 1200. I will try on my TV next. HDMI res is 1920x1080 to 1776x1000

Thank guys for the forum. I guess I just needed a push or confidence to do it.

Hi,

How many Penguins should be on the boot screen? I only get three and it stops after finding the mouse/keyboard and it says device has no listeners and is quitting.

What do I try now?

Robert

PS I have a 2+ amp supply and the MicoSD has been running a raspberry pi

I received my 2GB board yesterday.  Today I purchased a 64GB Class 10 Micro SD XC card from Walmart.  It tested fine.  I then attempted to follow the PhoenixCard instructions to burn the Android 5.1.1 Image Release 20160303.  Phoenix gave me an error each time identified the source .img file saying, "Script not found! Please use new version image!".  I attempted to re-download and re-unpack that file multiple times.  Receiving the same error message, I then tried the older Android Image Release 20160216.
This one successfully burned to the SD card on the third attempt.
On the first power up (using a potentially lower powered adapter) I got to the splash screen, but that was as far as it went--after a long wait time, it powered off.
I hooked up the Pine64 power adapter that I purchased with the board, and tried again.  This time it went past the splash screen and froze on the Pine64 logo screen.  After about a half hour, I turned it off and on again.  This time it went to a screen that said it was updating my contacts.  I had a circle of death going round and round, but it never completed this process before it rebooted on its own.
On the reboot, it never got past the Pine64 logo.
I restarted it and it went a bit further.  It seemed to have booted successfully, but as soon as I selected (using the purchased mouse/remote accessory) settings/wifi, it restarted again.  I noticed that the system was very slow to respond to my inputs.
It rebooted into the operating system, and my remote isn't responding 100% of the time.  The cursor moves around the screen, but I cannot select anything.  I somehow activated Settings/bluetooth (currently in the off position), but I cannot get out of that screen.  Android sent me back to the home page--or it rebooted again.
I'm pretty patient, but I have spent a day on this and have read more posts and problems than I ever imagined I'd have to.
Can anyone confirm that the Pine64 supplied power adapter is sufficient?   It says it is 5V 2A.
The response time and the time it takes to navigate from page to page is ridiculously slow (like going between settings main page into Wifi).  Settings has taken so long on several occasions that Android has offered to close it for me.  If I choose to wait it seems to finally get there on its own.  Okay, I thought I was a patient man...
Any ideas why it is so slow to respond?  Again, the cursor moves effortlessly around the screen.

Hello! I have problems with my pine64 also. My conf:
2 GB with BT+Wifi module installed
5V 2A adapter (tried several different)
NO Ethernet cable connected.
Direct HDMI to Phillips TV 1920 x 1080
64 GB SDXC

I was very-very careful about static, so the board is ok.

What do I have. I've tried to installed both Android (all 3 images) and Remix OS using PhoenixCard.
RemixOS has been installed (it was not easy, but installed at the end). But when it boots up it works EXTREMELY slow (reacts in 10-15 secs after pushing "start"-button), shows black screen, error messages (ex "Process system isn't responding. Do you want to close it?") and reboots.
Thereafter it may boot or not (depands on I have no idea what).
Android OS did not boot up at all. First it shows up "Powered by Android"-screen, then just PINE64 logo and that's it.

Any ideas? :-)

Looks like microSD card access issue. I have similar experience using on SanDisk 64GB microSD card, and the problem goes away when switch to other card.

May I ask whether you read through the thread your posting to? Especially issue 2 of the first posting? Already tested your SD card?

Nope. But thought if RemixOS installed ok, then sd card also ok. It may be different?

So, the sdxc card test results:

Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 16.2 MByte/s
Reading speed: 63.4 MByte/s
