Printer driver lib32-glibc dependency

Hey,

i tried to install this driver for my printer on the Pinebook Pro ->(https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-dcp195c).
It needs the lib32-glibc package as an dependency but this seems to be not available for arm.
So my question might be a bit naive ...but it might be worth asking:
Is there a way to build it manual and use another alternative package?

It's because that package installs a binary for x86 which is what that libc dependency is for.

I did get my Brother printer working using a driverless setup from CUPS, maybe it's possible for your model, too.

Another option is qemu userspace emulation, but that's also not trivial.

Does dcp-195c have a network connection? If not, driverless/airprint is a little harder
There is a "shim" for ipp over usb, you likely have to compile
The debian wiki has 2-3 good pages on all that
Also, cups has to be airprint capable (>2.3),
and of course, the printer too (printers > 10 years old may not be capable)
The quick way to find out, is this printer capable of printing from ipad/iphone?
(because most support people are clueless)

The printer has no Network connection at all. It is plugged into a PC, but if I have to rely on the PC beeing on it makes no sense for me.

That was my guess,, the printer too old
If a printer has no network capabilities, it makes no sense for
airprint to be in rom (printer's rom)
