Pinebook Pro Assemble-it-yourself kit

I noticed that Pine64 is now selling individual spare parts for the Pinebook Pro, and that set me wondering: why doesn't Pine64 offer the Pinebook Pro in an assemble-it-yourself form? I, for one, would probably be willing to even pay more for the opportunity to assemble my own laptop from a kit (The bragging rights would be great too    ). Can anybody see any problems with the idea?

Two major issues:

1. Not able to performed whole player final QA. In order to do so, factory needs to assemble, test, and tear down again. This process cost more rather than reduce cost.

2. Most people will have installation issue and this can cause heavy load on support.

Agree with @tllim.

In theory, individual components, like the main board can be tested separately. But, the way the big boys do it, is with specialized test rigs. That can cost a lot of money, both to build and maintain. They do such high volume. it makes sense. But, any change to the board(s) to be tested, requires changes to the test rig, (or it's code).

I realize the drawbacks but I wouldn't hesitate to assemble one from a kit... Especially if there were options like a touch screen.
