What a great device. Very solid build, great community and a awesome price. Battery life is just amazing. But, it just doesn't match my needs. I do NOT want to put it on the popular auction site because I'm not looking to make a buck off the supply constraints. What I do want to do is offer it back to the community at my cost for someone who can truly add value and develop more software for this little gem.
I'm offering my January version Pinebook Pro, 64GB model with power supply and the optional NVMe adapter for $210. Buyer pays shipping of choice (I can do USPS, FedEx or UPS). I did take the back off once to look at how to install the NVMe adapter, but ultimately did not since I don't have a drive to put in it right now. The way you install the adapter is to install the drive in the adapter and then install the adapter in the computer. The adapter looks like the original one, but has the half-height NVMe retaining nut. Pine64 assured me it would work in my laptop.
I'll have some pictures up tomorrow, maybe tonight if I can figure it out and have the time (my daughter's fish tank developed a crack today and I'm taking a break in doing a fish move - ugh!). It doesn't have any real blemishes. I've only had it for 2 months. I'll need to clean off the fingerprints before I shoot it Never been dropped or abused.
This is a great machine at a great price. I'm just not a developer and am more of a mainstream kinda guy. I want this to go to a community that will appreciate it and use it to make the community better.
