Pinebook Pro?
I'm a bit confused. According to this https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/blog...-ergonomic the Pinebook Pro's keybord in the video is ANSI (tiny ugly Enter key I hate) but you say it's ISO keyboard. What is it then?

Is there any precise hw description page to check? One page state its' bt4.1, another 4.2 and another bt5.0! What's the WLAN chip?

Do I understand correct if or when a 'buyers queue list' (watchamacallit) will be published one could add himself to it and then have to wait a year for the hw? Is that about it?

Will an ANSI keyboard be an option or will the Pinebook Pro be ISO keyboard only? I love everything else about the Pinebook Pro so far but every other computer I use has an ANSI keyboard Sad

Speaking as someone who has had both ANSI and ISO keyboards as their primary keyboard, I wouldn't worry too much about that. It's very easy to get used to and even switching between them isn't much of an issue.

Personally, I'm very curious how much the Pinebook Pro will end up weighing, but I suppose that might not be finalised yet?

Plenty of horsepower. As for Kali - if you want official support, I think we could probably approach Kali devs and see if they are interested.

+1 for the Kali support.
I can't wait to try the kde version of Kali on the Pinebook Pro!

Me too. This will be a Kali machine for me.

@Efe, uhm the room temps are around 22*C
@PakoSt, yes there is a thermal pad that bridges the SOC and the case bottom -- its not a given that this is final design (hence my testing)
@wudo As I explained in the video, the ANSI keyboard had issues and was lower overall quality - so no.

More news re. the Pinebook Pro coming very soon.

Thanks for the updates!

Will it be possible to add privacy features to the Pinebook Pro to disable WiFi/Bluetooth and Audio/Mic?

Don’t want to add cost with the machining case for switches, but just provide knowledge on where to tap into the traces on the boards... ideally, have the board with friendly pads to cut and add switches DIY, if a user want to have privacy features.
About privacy switches on the Pinebook Pro -- we're looking into it, but no promises. Probably not.

About Kali -- you are welcome to get me in touch with an active Kali dev who has ARM experience (if s/he is interested in the PB Pro of course).

@Luke Why you don't share lots of Pinebook pro photos? I wonder it.

I'm excited to pick one of these up and will probably try running Arch on it.

I've read that booting from nvme will likely not be supported, but am wondering whether some kind of dual-stage boot will be possible to unlock the most performance out of such a drive. And if not, then at the very least, at least we'll be able to put swapfiles on nvme, right?
