Mobian Nightly Release 20200707
Camera is WORKING on the "out of the Box" software, pictures are not high resolution, but not bad.
Is there a GUI method to add these pictures to my outgoing SMS text messages ?
I did accidentally put a picture of my son, as my sisters text avatar icon.
Thanks, BC

| Pinebook Pro sleep issue (hinge?) |

I have a 2020 PBP running Manjaro Linux it shipped with. If I do not close the lid completely (leave a half inch gap) the pinebook sleeps as expected. However If I close the lid completly the pinebook screen comes back on and stays on. Is the hinge sensor misaligned perhaps? can this be adjusted manually by removing the bottom plate?

Hi fellas,
I've had KDE installed via eMMC for a few months now. I hadn't fired it up in awhile. Now at the login screen, when I enter my password and hit ENTER or the click on the LOGIN button, nothing happens.
Any ideas on how to fix this, and can I even get to a terminal to work some magic on the backend?

Hi I have the Pine64 eMMC to USB adapter.
When reading (using dd to /dev/null) from the 64GB eMMC that came with the Pinebook Pro I only get around 15 MB/s
With the 128GB module I seem to recall around 13 MB/s
The 128 GB module does give me 157MB/s when inside the Pinebook Pro it self
I have tried playing with the block size of the dd reads but it doesn't seem to do much difference.
The USB adapter might only use 1 bit transfers cutting the bandwidth in quarter, but that should possibly still give me 39MB/s
Does anyone have any tips for getting more performance out of the adapter?
Regards Visti Andresen

Listening to Podcasts with Podbird only works as long as the phone is unlocked. When locking the phone the audio stops.
Is anybody else also having this problem, or am I the only one?
Does anyone know if this is Pinephone specific, or if this is a general problem of Ubuntu Touch?

1. How do I reset the terminal sudo password. I know how to do change it from the desktop when we set a user password, but not on the phone.
2. I upgraded to developmental, and not my phone app does not work. Does anyone know how to remedy that.
3. I installed a Gmail app and it crashes every single time.
4. Does anyone know how to add a Google Account. When I go to accounts, it just hangs there and never goes anywhere.
Hopefully someone from the forum will be able to help.
Thank you,

Hello, I changed the skin for the PinePhone Wiki in the wiki settings, and now I can't login to the wiki.
On Firefox the page is just a white screen, and on Chromium I get "This page isn't working"

Can someone help me get back into the wiki.

| How to flash the emmc when it has Chromium on it? |

Hi,
So I installed Chromium on the internal emmc in my PBP. I'm guessing the U-Boot on it has the emmc in the first boot position. I'm assuming the way to flash something else on it would be to corrupt it so that the PBP boots off SD and then I can flash from a Linux distro on there.
How do I corrupt the emmc using Chromium? In particular, the Linux subsystem won't run.
Or is there a better course of action?
Thanks.

Greetings to all, happy PinePhone owner, multi-decade Linux and FOSS dude. In fact I bought this phone as a reward to myself for a professional lifetime of advocating FOSS in all levels of business and research and now I have the phone I always dreamed I wanted.
One question I had if anyone has an answer: I have noticed that for several apps, the screen or more to the point, fields on the screen don't reflect keypresses or swipes until I effectively go the running process screen (right to left swipe showing running apps) and then reselecting the app I was editing something in; at this point all the keystrokes and other things register all at once....Worst offender of this is the Dekko 2 mailapp (BTW is there anything better for gmail?) but its not limited to that. If I were troubleshooting I would say that the thread scheduler is getting bound up and then reset upon going to the process list screen, at which point the running thread gets processor, processes the keystrokes and displays them as-expected. Until that happens the key events just seem to be piling up in somebodies message queue...so I am expecting the fix to this to look like a system update...in place of that though, first has anyone else noticed this? Secondly has anything found any fixes or work-arounds more graceful that typing blindly and periodically reselecting the same app from the process list to refresh the display....
